Great item, easy to install and looks good, great value!

We painted the cabinets and re-did the floors in our kitchen so my wife wanted to replace the door knobs on the pantry door and the door leading to the laundry room. These knobs were easy to install since I only had to replace the old ones and didn’t have to drill any holes. I thought the directions were confusing when I looked at them but I didn’t need them since I was only replacing the old knobs with these. They look very nice and now match the new hardware on our cabinets.

I broke the interior door knob off the front door. The lock manufacture said that the knob was no longer available. I went online with Amazon and found the exact match!!

I needed a knob to replace a broken doorknob on a panty door.In a fit of inspiration, I decided that I never again wanted to do maintenance on a pantry door doorknob, so I decided to replace the doorknob entirely with a dummy doorknob and then install a magnetic latch to hold the door in place. Why not? The pantry door is an interior door that doesn't need security and the old knob was just a passage knob anyway. The solution I came up with has fewer moving parts to wear out and is even cheaper than buying a full doorknob.Saw this dummy doorknob on Amazon for cheap and it looked nice so I figured this is the one. When it arrived, I found that I would not be able to use it as-is on a traditional door hole. It is designed to be screwed onto a door that has a complete surface and you use two wood screws to affix it. I needed a dummy knob that had the opposing side plate with two prongs that would allow you to screw together the dummy knob and the plate over a doorknob hole.Fortunately, I had a part from another doorknob that had died on me and was able to reuse it as the backside part of the dummy knob, and instead of two wood screws, reused the long screws the broken doorknob had. It worked great! This dummy knob is now fastened to the pantry door, looks great, and works perfectly with the magnet latch I installed.So again, if you're looking for a dummy knob to cover an existing doorknob hole this one won't work without modifications on your part.Another concern; it doesn't appear you can take this dummy knob apart. I struggled a bit to screw it on the door because the knob is wide enough to interfere with the screwdriver operation with the longer screws. If I could have removed the round knob, installed the base, then replaced the knob, that would have been better. The kit comes with what looks like a small screwdriver to fit into a hole on the side of the knob cylinder where you could maybe unscrew it, but I could not get that to work. According to the instructions that small screwdriver part is actually meant to depress the spring loaded latch on most doorknobs to remove the knob cover, so it's not really even needed for this dummy knob.Outside of that, the knob itself looks fine and does the job. I can't complain much given the price.

I have an office that adjoins my shop. I try to keep my office a bit neater than my messy shop. To that end I have installed double doors between the two. The doors have bullet latches at the top and so all I need are dummy knobs. These inexpensive and nice looking knobs fit the bill! Recommended.

I got 6 of the satin stainless dummy knobs to replace the crappy wooden ones on my crappy builders quality, hollow-core bifold doors that were too small to operate the doors easily, wete all coming loose, and keft finger smudges all arond them on the doors. Did I mention that they were crappy doors? Well, these knobs did the trick perfectly. They look great, and make it a lot easier to operate the doors, without fingers having to come in contact with the surface of the door and smudging it up. I did have to get different #8 screws, nuts and fender flat washers to install them through my crappy builders quality hollow-core doors, but the installation was a breeze.
