Easy install, works very well
This was a replacement tank for an existing installation. The previous tank was a 5-gallon and took up an excessive amount of room under the sink.I have never done this type of installation before, but it was easy enough: 1) turn water to RO system off; 2) turn old tank off (there should be a valve on the old tank for this; if not, get a bucket and lots of towels ready); 3) disconnect (see below) the hose going to old tank (you can do this at either end, but there will be some leakage; also if you do not have a open/close valve on the old tank, disconnect the hose at the non-tank end and stick it into your bucket as quickly as you can); 4) remove old tank, take outside, re-open valve, admire the fountain; 5) unless you bought a new one, unscrew valve from old tank; 6) put a couple of turns of Teflon tape around the new tank stem; 7) screw valve onto new tank, leaving valve in open position; 8) put new tank into place; 9) reconnect pipe; 10) turn water back on and check for leaks. Leave it overnight to come up to pressure (water stream will be feeble until this happens).A note on dis- and re-connecting hoses: my installation used push-on connectors and I found that pushing in the little ring surrounding the hose and then pulling on the hose was the easiest way to get them disconnected. I really needed a third hand or a pair of small pliers. Also, when re-connecting the hose, make sure they are pushed in the whole way!

Perfect replacememt for Whirlpool WHER25
Bladder in our original tank failed. Contacted Whirlpool and they "suggested" that although we could purchase a replacement tank through them, it would be more cost efficient if we purchased a completely new system. It would come with filters that we wouldn't need right now, but could keep for later.I was hesitant to shell out another $300 for a complete unit when all we needed was a new tank and figured for the price, I'd give this one a try.The only snag, was that the valve fitting on top did not fit directly to the line connection of the Whirlpool system. No problem - - - remove the adapter fitting, and connect.Fits, works and what a cost savings.

Working great. It's just the right size for under the sink. I can easily add another tank if needed. Make sure you sanitize before using. Just add a few drops of bleach into the valve and fill it with the feed line to the Reverse Osmosis system. Let it sit for a couple of hours and then flush it out a couple of times before connecting to RO system. I have found that using an air pre-charge (before filling with water) of 7psi works the best. You can get a low pressure air gauge (0-20psi) from a bicycle shop. A bicycle pump works just fine too. One more thing about purified water. Use it for ALL your cooking. This means everything you boil or add any water to, because whatever is in your water, will end up in the food you consume.

Easy replacement for failed P-tank
Depending on your location and thus water chemistry, P-tanks for RO filter systems last as little as 3 years and sometimes far longer. The bladder often fails meaning the P-tank fills completely with water and has no air pressure to actually deliver water to the faucet. It is easy to replace these tanks and they need not be expensive. After troubleshooting (strongly recommended and also easy to do) and verifying the P-tank needs to be replaced, IMO this is a very suitable alternative to the costly original manufacturer tank. In my case, this was less than one-half the cost of the "genuine" tank.

Works well
My previous tank quit pressurizing so I bought this as a replacement quite a while ago. It's worked just fine. I've had no issues.
