Dr. Martens Women's 1460 Smooth Leather Boot

These are great boots, but I recommend wearing them for short periods of time first. They are heavy boots and take some time to break in. Once have are broke in they are super comfortable and look great. They can be worn in so many situations. Dress up, dress down, and the leather quality keeps them looking good for such a long time. They are definitely warm, but in the chill of winter you will still want some boot socks. Durable and just overall great boots!

My better half had a pair of Doc's that were very old and starting to fall apart. I bought her these and she is super happy. They're the real deal.

The only question I have is if these are REAL Dr.Martens. There is a website on how to spot forgeries https://snapguide.com/guides/spot-fake-dr-martens-boots/ and mine did not have the yellow quality check sticker on the tongue. Mine also made in India, not China nor Thailand where most of the Asian Dr. Martens seem to come from. On all other points these boots look to be genuine. Either way, I love them, they are the most comfortable boots to wear. Yes, they are tough on the ankles to begin with and I imagine that will get better the more I wear them. I have been wearing 2 pairs of socks and that seems to help. Irregardless, I wish I had purchased a pair long before now. Love them. The only reason I am not giving a full 5-star is the question of authenticity, sad that things are like that. I would like to believe that since I ordered them through Amazon that the supplier had been vetted and so the shoes are genuine.

These shoes are really comfy I would recommend them if you go out with friends and want to style an outfit that is cute and simple. I got these for a concert and they looked really good, lots of people complimented me on my outfit and mostly my shoes. I got them in size 6 in women and they fit perfectly, Am a size 7 but I went with the size 6 and they fit really well, I would not recommend a size 8 because they are going to be way too big! 10/10 shoes, one of the best shoes have ever gotten in my life.

This pair replaced the pair bought in 1993. As I am now 50, I will likely be buried in my Doc's with great fanfare at an unfathomable old age.I had long forgotten the exquisite torture of breaking them in. It took a week: many many applications of mink oil, hours of walking, standing, and the required suffering. The boots have now accepted me as their master, and welcome my humble feet like an old friend.You do not buy a pair of Doc Martens 1460's....you earn them.

Love my docs. I hadn't had a pair of these if a few years, and I'm not sorry I went back to them! I threw a pair of memory foam inserts in them to speed up the break in process, and they are super comfy. They do take a couple weeks to break in- I wouldn't recommend wearing them for more than a couple hours at a time at first, and thicker socks are better until they form to your feet a little. I usually wear a 9.5 (occasionally a 10 if the shoe runs a tad small) and I downsized to a 9 based on others' reviews and it was a great decision- they fit perfectly.
