GHC-AN Electronic Hi-Hat Controller for eDrums

I did not know if it would work for my application or not. I have the Alesis Command module. I assume it works using a variable resistor, and I anticipated having to modify it to get it to work within the parameters required by the Command module. I measured the resistance on the Alesis Hi-Hat foot control and compared it with the resistance range I got with the Goedrum GHC-AN Electronic Hi-Hat Controller and they were similar but not exact (the Alesis completely disconnects on a hard close, the Goedrum still has a slight resistance when it's completely depressed), so I connected it to my Command Module to try it out, and it worked perfectly. I thought I might have to adjust the trigger settings, but no, it just worked like it was made for this module. That was a pleasant surprise. No two resistors are the same, so your results may vary. This module works like a champ with my Simmons titan kit whether I am using the built in samples from the brain or inside Logic as a midi controller to record drum parts. Definitely recommend this if you are missing the tension of a real hi hat feel.

I'm using this with an Alesis Crimson II kit, a DW5000 hihat stand, and Superior Drummer 2 via USB to a computer.I had to add a few extra felts under the hihat clutch to stop both the clutch and hihat pad from bumping the sides of the controller and preventing it from closing all the way. Aside from that, it fits fine and was easy to set up... literally just had to plug it in.In terms of functionality, it's not great when using the Crimson II module alone. I feel it is a sidegrade to the crappy stock pedal controller that comes with the kit rather than an upgrade so possibly not worth the purchase if you only intend to use this module alone. Running through Superior Drummer however, it is a clear upgrade over the stock pedal and behaves much more realistically.I'm happy with my purchase!

I ordered this for my Strike Pro SE on 12/23. To my shock and surprise it showed all the way from the other side of the world on 12/28!!! Even though my order said it would be closer to 6 weeks.I hooked it up and my hi hat plays almost identical to a real acoustic hi hat! No more fussing around with my old Alesis controller hat to get it to work like somewhat alright. It's pretty amazing how good this thing is, especially for the price. You don't even have to worry about where you hit the hat anymore. It can spin like crazy and it'll still perform like an acoustic set up.Alesis needs to buy all of their stock and implement it with all their drums that are compatible with this.

This worked fine on my dm10 for a couple days but now if I close the high hat it triggers about 70 times. tried every possible adjustment on the module i could. even if I barely press it down with my finger and sensitivy settings down all the way it triggers a million times. wish it lasted longer than a week but at least inside of the return window.

This seller is in Taiwan. If you need this within a month don't bother. The controller is great not I had to buy it from Sweetwater and will be returning to one of it ever arrives.

Not Worth the Money If I knew what was like before I purchased This Garbage, It is Halfway Designed it dose not work Properly . I am Designer and Manufacturer of Hi Tech Machinery and Robotics . I say when you have to Modify Brand new Product that you Purchase in order you have to make it work properly There is a Name For That GARBEDGE !! And very poor Quality very Frijole..

This item works awesome, and got here in a short amount of time! I have an Alesis DM10 MarkII system. The pedal that it comes with leaves A LOT to be desired. I first looked for the X Hi Hat from Alesis and found it's no longer for sale which bummed me out. A friend then said I should give this a shot. He wanted one but hadn't tested it. I thought for the price, why not give it a try. I'm SO GLAD I did. Thankfully I have a very nice DW HiHat stand/pedal for my acoustic set. This thing has all the ranges, and even splashes well. Works especially well with Superior Drummer 3THANKS GOEDRUM!
