Wind noises
This rack looks great and is easy to install as well as tie things to it. But it has created an overwhelming amount of wind noise and squealing noise

Good product. Greedy company
Love the platform. Company nickle and dimes you for everything. Should include universal mounting brackets.

Awesome roof rack
I have a Ford Excursion and the factory racks needed to be replaced. If you have had an Ex you know what I mean. Poor design Ford!I wanted a do anything rack that I could strap some sit-on style kayaks to and go on long road trips without worrying about losing my kayak. I do an annual 2000 mile road trip to British Columbia and need a secure solution for hauling the yaks up there. I've done that trip with your typical J-hooks a few times. 36" wide Lifetime yaks on J-hooks at 36" on center just seem to move around alot and might be more boat than that setup can handle. Actually bent one set of hooks in Montana when there was a significant cross wind and I was always stopping and adjusting them and tightening things down. Sooner or later something bad was going to happen. Kayaks just weren't secure at freeway speeds over long distances. So I bought the LocknLoad. Was going to set the yaks side by side flat on the platform but decided to nest them instead. That worked perfect. Went on a 500 mile trip last weekend and the yaks didn't budge at all at freeway speeds of over 80mph. Normally I don't go that fast but I wasn't pulling my camper and I wanted to test this setup out. Will probably throw some bikes up top on the next trip because there is room. This is a strong and stable rack built for whatever you can throw on it. I'm impressed. Not much (if any wind noise) when nothing is on it, definitely recommend. As far as assembly, it's pretty straight forward. You can read the instruction manual but I found it lacking. I watched a youtube video to see how it was done and that was the way to go. Assembly took a little over an hour and doesn't take an engineering degree to get right. This is an expensive rack, but one I expect to use for a long time.I strongly recommend this rack.

Screws didn’t line up.
QC must have slipped. Returning. The screws simply don’t line up. Impossible to assemble correctly. Sent it back. No time for this nonsense.
