Cat Mate6-Pack Replacement Fountain Filter Cartridges (Compatible with all Cat Mate / Dog Mate Fountains)

These filters fit the water fountain that my cats use, "Cat Mate." I change the water and wash the fountain every day, and I use a new filter every three weeks. I probably wouldn't need to clean the fountain every day because the filter works well, but I do; I want the best for my kitties.

They filter, they do as intended. I wish they were cheaper or you got more because of how quick I go through them. It’s worth the price because they keep the water clean and they fit perfectly into the water fountain but the quality could be better, just a mesh fabric on top of some charcoal beads

I’ve used Cat Mate / Dog Mate fountains for many years for my cats so I’ve gone through hundreds of these filters. They’re necessary to keep the water fresh but you absolutely must clean the fountain once per week (motor included), change the filter each week, and it helps to dump the water out and refresh it midweek. Your pets need access to clean water and fortunately it only takes 5-10 minutes to clean the fountain (but the OXO small appliance cleaning brushes to make it easier). The filters which are more expensive and say they last multiple weeks are misleading - you will get mildew and mold. These name brand blue filters are far superior to knock off brands which I’ve found shed white particles into the water. All that said, the health benefits of encouraging cats to drink more water are worth the efforts.

Been totally honest with you the filters that I bought these filters I have not used because the water feature that I bought is loud not super loud but it's not quiet like they said it was and I have not yet Revisited that water feature it's for cats to drink out of and to see if these new filters would work well so I cannot give an honest opinion on them but I could tell you that the motor for this particular cat water device is the humming is loud it's not that it makes a lot of noise like a racket but it hums real loud so it's not been used I have to get back to it so I'm still giving them five stars because they're well made and I believe that they are good filters as filters go but I haven't used them as some of you may say well then how can you even give five stars well that's what I choose to do and I'm being as honest as I can with you

I mean, they’re filters. They are from the manufacturer of my cat fountain, so they fit fine , but they could have had more activated charcoal. They are also slightly more expensive than other sources. So.. as expected.
