Great unit! (first impressions + two month update)
My humidifier (LG Puricare with wifi and pump) arrived today. I had it unboxed, setup, and running in 45 minutes, including pump hoses. It’s in my basement laundry & bathroom, and it’s a workhorse, so the fan doesn’t bother me. Laundry room is always cool and damp, and I think this will be perfect. Sound level is normal, no jet engine takeoffs as a couple other reviewers have mentioned. I grew up with having dehumidifiers in the basement and this unit sounds normal or even quieter than those older models from years past. Too loud for a bedroom perhaps, but I didn’t buy it for there.Wifi connection was easy, I have a number of LG appliances and am familiar with the process.Waiting for the pump to pump the first time, so this is a review in progress. So far 5 stars.UPDATE AFTER TWO DAYS: Still working well. The pump is working. It appears to run when the bucket fills up. Twice the ThinQ app on my phone notified me that the bucket was full and that the unit will restart when the bucket is emptied. I was not around when this happened, but when I got home and checked the unit, the bucket was nearly empty and the compressor was running. It appears the pump emptied the bucked and the unit restarted. My basement laundry and spare room are now pleasant and dry, it's not clammy and cool anymore. This unit is working wonderfully. The fan does run all the time, presumably to circulate the air in the room and so the unit can get a good reading on the humidity. After a couple more days to let everything get really dried out, I'm going to try using the phone app to put the unit on a schedule to run at night when my electric rates are lower. Will be interested to see if the fan stops completely when the schedule turns it off.UPDATE AFTER TWO MONTHS: The unit is still running perfectly. The pump does a fine job of pumping the water out of the tank and up into the laundry drain when the tank fills up. Now that the room is all dried out and the weather is changing, I put the dehumidifier on a schedule to run for a few hours every night when electricity is cheaper. Now the fan only runs at night, and the unit is totally silent when it is scheduled to be off. If I have guest using the extra shower in the laundry room I manually turn the unit on. Sometimes it seems that manually turning the unit on and off disables the nightly schedule; I just use the app to turn the schedule off and turn it back on and it's back running on the schedule I set. Very happy with it.

Love the condensate pump feature
I wanted a dehumidifier that didn't need to be emptied by hand. I have an unfinished basement that doesn't have a vapor barrier in place so it normally gets pretty humid in the summer with potential to foster some mold on textiles (clothing, hobby materials for cross stitch, etc). Bonus (once I got it to work) is the wireless connection that can be monitored from my phone - great for when I travel (hopefully once COVID gets licked). Has been maintaining 40-50% humidity pumping out about 10 times a day of so (piped to a condensate pump on my heat pump fan coil). This a sturdy (and heavy) piece that seems to be well made. It's not to loud (running at low fan speed). So far I'm very happy with it.

Keeps my home at a perfect 35 to 40% indoor humidity during the most humid days of summer
Whisper quiet, and love the drain-pump feature for "set it and forget it" convenience. Never empty a bucket again! Condensate tank is auto-magically pumped from the holding tank into a nearby sink or drain.Living in a high-rise condo, the A/C system does little to remove indoor humidity. Running this workhorse keeps the 2900 sq. foot home at an acceptable relative indoor humidity. No more being cold and damp! It allows me to keep the thermostat at a higher temperature without discomfort.

Nice features, poor quality
Sleek and the WiFi works well but this product has too many defects. The first one I bought was very loud so I returned it. The second one was much quieter but the pump was DOA. I give up.

Fast shipping, Well built
If you are looking at buying this, the odds are that you are not going after a cheap dehumidifier. You are going after one that actually looks decent, that you can leave out and not look like a pile of cheap plastic thrown together. I can say that this dehumidifier is the nicest one I have ever owned as well as my first LG product. I like the way it looks and it has a good solid weight to it that you would expect from something of good build quality. On top of all that, it works great too!So why not 5 stars? The fact that it was WI-FI enabled was not a factor in making this purchase. I was looking for ~50 pint dehumidifier with a pump with decent aesthetics and this one just so happened to fit the bill. After, I got the unit I figured if you have it, you might as well try it out and see how it does with Alexa. In quick summary, not good. It took multiple attempts to get it to connect with the Wi-Fi through the LG ThinQ app. After I finally got it set up on the app. I enabled the Alexa skill and it was pretty much a joke. Hopefully it's a work in progress and they get things figured out. I scraped a star off for that just because if you incorporate a feature into a device, it should work.Things to note: This is a rather large dehumidifier. Due to this, it's a little noisy. Not as loud as some people made it out to be on the reviews but more like I would not want to be trying to sleep in the same room as the thing. Also, this thing puts off some heat. Just as noted as in the user manual you can expect the temperature of your room to increase ~5 degrees or so.Overall: I would definitely recommend this Dehumidifier to anyone (who is probably not trying to run it in their bedroom). Just do not buy it and expect to get to much out of the Wi-Fi feature

Great quality, Great product , amazing amount the amount of water it pulls
I Was looking for a dehumidifier for a Florida lake home that is only occasionally occupied . Not wanting to run the Ac units as the only source of humidity control. This was the perfect supplement. Now I can have the temp a little higher thus running ac units less especially when not needed. The benefit of the app give me assurance every thing is working . Problem solved
