You either bend over and lift child out or you can open the flap on the side and they can crawl out

Will this fit through a standard door to move from room to room ?

No. But you can collapse quicky and move to the other room with ease.

Can the zip be unzipped from the inside - could the baby unzipped it?

No. The zip is on the outside only

Is the tubes made from plastic or metal?

Metal it’s very sturdy. My 2 4year olds often yet in and play with my daughter and it’s still as sturdy as day 1
