Very sturdy screen!
This is a great product! I have a cat who’s got strong hunter instincts and also happens to be an orange cat lol if you know, you know! Every time I opens my slider she would jump on my d so screen door trying to hunt birds or anything else that moved! I replaced the damaged screen and this has held up tremendously well!!! I’m going to replace all of my screens with this product, it was easy to do!

Stands up to climbing cats!
I have two cats, one is an avid climber. They are inside only cats (I live near open desert that is full of coyotes), but I like to leave the door open with the screen door secured shut so they can enjoy the air and sounds of outside, but I did not trust the standard screen material to stand up to their claws. Damage is one thing, but I definitely did not want them to tear the screen out enough to escape the house when I was in another room. So I was hoping to find a screen material stout enough to give me the peace of mind to keep the door open during the pleasant months, so I gave this one a try.Soon after installation I heard the familiar sound of claws testing out the new screen door. Despite even finding one cat 6 feet off the ground climbing up the screen, there was not a hint of damage to the screen material! Its has also held in the sliding door frame very well, even with the weight of the cat suspended on it. No bulges or sags! The screen takes some elbow grease to install- definitely invest a few bucks in a metal roller- but I think it is easier to get a clean and taught install with this screen than with the standard stuff, maybe because it is thicker and doesn't get stretched out of shape as easily. I found rolling the screen into the groove with the round edge of the roller first, then using short quick strokes to push in the spline with the concave side made the installation go the fastest.I used a 0.135 dia spline (it was oddly hard to search for that size on here but the model number ended up being Prime-Line Products P 7631) which worked perfectly. It was a tight fit but not impossible and seems to hold the screen in nice and strong. As near as I can measure the original spline in my door was .140 inch dia., so I used one just the tiniest bit smaller for the new material. Its definitely a darker, more visible screen than the standard ones, but the peace of mind is worth it and then some. Plus it actually looks nice when the screen is clean and straight, not all bulging out and full of holes and rips like so many screens I have had in the past.I have had it installed for over 4 months now and there are still no rips or tears anywhere and I have not had to adjust anything despite cats climbing, scratching at it, and bouncing off of it while chasing their toys. The fact that this stuff is only a few dollars more expensive than the standard fiberglass screen is astonishing, I think it is worth many times the price!

Totally awesome product!
UPDATE March 24, 2020. I still absolutely love this screen. It's held up like a champ.OK, here's my two cents on this product.First and foremost, replacing screens period is NOT an easy task. Does not matter what material you use. It sucks! Which is why I gave it a 3 stars when it asks if it is easy to install. Only plus is that you won't tear up your hands like screen mesh does. So, 5 stars on this being a "no boo boos here, move along please!" product.Secondly, it's not a half day job, so stop right now and understand that it WILL take you an entire weekend to replace your screens if you have more than one to replace. I had 10. A week later and I have 3 more to do. Had to order another roll.OK, on to my review. I LOVE this pet screen. Totally worth the effort. Love the price. I have a 20 pound Maine Coon that loves to get our attention by jumping on the screens. He completely destroyed the original ones. I had 10 screens to replace, because of this fiesty stinker of ours.I reused the spine from the original screen windows since this is ONLY a roll of screen that you are buying. It's not a kit.My only issue with it (but I easily fixed it without causing a stink) was that part of the screen had uncolored spots. I simply took a permanent marker to it and you can't even see it now. Too easy! I posted pictures so you can see the difference between my old screen and the new pet screen. I also love the darker shade. More privacy for us.BTW, my cat jumped on the new screens almost as soon as I got them in and they easily held up to his clawing. I'm happy! 💜 I totally recommend this product. I wish I had found it years ago.

TOUGH SCREEN!! TERRIFFIC PRODUCT!!...Use thinner Spline!!
Our kitties shredded a portion of the patio door screen for their personal entry/exit and it came time for me to make the fix.I bought this screen wanting something durable and tough and this screen is SUPER-THICK AND TOUGH!! EXACTLY what I wanted/needed. I planned to install one of the pet-doors that connects directly to the screen for the cats ( I provided a review for that product too).THIS SCREEN IS MUCH THICKER THAN REGULAR SCREEN so I HIGHLY recommend using a thinner spline to install. My patio door used .14 spline and I ended up using the old spline from the original screen since it was already somewhat compressed---I had to use an extra dose of elbow-grease to get that spline in place.I strongly suggest if your screen used .14 spline...use .12. if your screen has a .16 spline...use .14. It was also a bit tricky to cut/trim the excess using a tactical Kershaw folder or scissors...that's how tough this screen is!!This screen is also quite darker than the original screen which is a welcome addition for privacy.DO NOT HESITATE to buy this screen for a super-tough and durable replacement especially for pets etc. Just be prepared with smaller diameter spline or you'll have your work cut out for you.
