this is a great vacuum. i discovered yesterday that it has an attachment perfect for cleaning the dust off my 2-1/2" wood blinds. the attachments that came with it do all types of cleaning, the cord is very long. the vacuum bags contain the dust extremely well and prevent disturbance to my allergy to dust. the fit perfectly into the vacuum and are easy to insert. i love love them! thank you.

With the original equipment bag, pet hair was stuck in the cloth bag fibers, and the bag was incredibly dusty and difficult to shake out or wash.Then I tried using the white plastic attachment with the O ring to clamp the purchased additional paper bags. The Hoover portavac lost tremendous suction power. It was a difficult contraption for me to use.Plan B. Ordered 2 new gray cloth bags. Took the paper bags, folded the top of the bag down about 1 inch outward and put them inside the cloth bag and stuffed all that into the vacuum. It works great, the cloth bag is clean and the paper bags when full are tossed. The suction power works and my hardwood & vinyl flooring and some LL Bean rugs at the door entrances are dirt and hair free.

Works like a shoulder vacuum should work. The power cord is very long. Many attachments. Vacuum cleaner bag is easy to empty.

Absolutely worthless. These simply slide into the fabric bag but do not anchor anywhere. There is a huge gap between the paper filter and the sides of the fabric bag so vacuumed up dust and debris simply blows into the fabric bag while the paper filter is in the way.

Really well designed, good suction, not too loud.Downside is the shoulder strap is some synthetic material, hard edges, rough on body, tend not to use.

These bags work really well. The one caveat is you need the plastic adapter that the bag attaches to before installing into the vacuum. If you bought the vacuum recently, my guess is that it did not come with the adapter but, the reusable filter bag instead.

I didn’t know these bags were still available! So pleased and they were sent quickly. Now I can keep using my old Hoover!
