These masks are my choice for protection. They are made well.

I almost cancelled these masks because of the reviews but realised people are annoying and you have to take what they say with a grain of salt including my review. I need these for work because we can no longer wear handmade masks. Here is my blunt review:1) These masks arrived a day early, which says more about the hardworking, underpaid employees at Amazon Fulfilment than the actual company that manufactured/distributed these masks.2) The masks do not have “little holes” in them. When you look closely, those perforations are actually covered with a thin filter. These masks pass the “flame test” and “perfume/scent test”. That means I cannot blow out a flame and can barely smell perfume when sprayed.3) they have a “storage” smell even though they are sealed in a resealable plastic. How do you solve this problem? Take them out the packaging let them acclimate (adjust) to the smell of your house/office for at least 24hrs. A “storage smell” makes sense when things are manufactured in bulk and sit somewhere in a storeroom for a long time. I cannot identify the smell but it’s not offensive.4) mask dimensions: the mask measured across the face at the largest part (ear to ear) is 21cm (8.27in) It is 37cm (14.57inches) from top to bottom. The ear loops are 20cm (7.87inches). These measurements are consistent with the masks in the package. In other words—this mask is HUGE! It basically covers my entire adult size face.5) The people who complained that the mask is too small have large/wide faces and this mask may not fit. Before you buy ANY mask on the internet measure your face!6) I do not know if these pass the “baking test”. A process used to sterilise N95 masks for reuse at approximately 100°C. I will try it out and see how they hold up.

There are a lot of complaints in the reviews stating that the masks are to small, the earloops are to short, there is to much tension, uncomfortable to wear, etc., etc. I believe that all these commentators do not have any good understanding as to what this mask is supposed to do: To be effective and protect you against contamination, the mask must have a tight seal at the face surrounding your mouth and nose. This is effected by keeping the loops short, so that there is sufficient tension to keep the border of the mask pressed against your face. Of course, this is not super comfortable, and you ears will flap, making you look like of one of the Walt Disney seven dwarfs. But once you put it on this way, you will realize that the mask does indeed make a pretty good seal, protecting you much better against anything in the air than an ordinary paper mask. On top, you have the increased filtration capacity. Of course, the design of a „real“ N95 mask is better, since there loops are designed to wrap around the entire head, which relieves some of the tension, and provides also for a better fit, but in comparison, you will realize that also an N95 mask is not that comfortable. So all in all, you need to take that into account, when complaining about the size, etc. of the mask. It’s about the protection, not comfort. I have a pretty large head, and believe that in light of the above, the mask is properly sized for large heads. Of course, I have no idea whether the purported feature („95% filter quota) is real, but what I can state is that the mask makes indeed a good seal, so I am optimistic that it and its many variants are currently the best available mask alternative. So far, this particular brand did for me best in not fogging my glasses (or only comparably much less fog), and it also is the most neutral smelling mask I ever got up to now.

I was worried when I saw some of the very negative reviews. I have used KN95 masks before and I have been always satisfied with the Chinese KN standard so I decided to still give it a try.THESE MASKS DO NOT HAVE LITTLE HOLES. I did my research to understand how these masks were made and why they are safer. Both N95 and KN95 suppose to have layers of synthetic material and in order to better bind them together, heat was used to melt the 5 layers and thus creates these almost transparent plastic lines. It look like holes but they are not! They are melted synthetic material and it is actually the impermeable! (you can see from the photo for yourself)I am a relatively tall person with medium built and these masks cover the whole bottom half of my face completely. My 3 friends with different built also have no problem with them.The ear loops are tight enough to keep the mask on my face with no gap. But I understand if you have to wear it for hours, it starts to hurt a bit. But remember that's because the elasticity is what keeps the mask tight enough to prevent air from going in or out from the sides. I wore them for a full shift and towards the end it did hurt. So since the second day, after 3-4 hours of wearing, I took them off and stretched the elastic loop. The ear loops instantly felt better. Recommend doing this if you plan to wear them for long hours! but if you only need them for a grocery run, I'd choose safety rather comfort.BTW, If you have ever wore the 3M N95 masks (the round ones with yellow elastic bands), you'll understand what is real discomfort... these is such a saver for me!Of course head and face shape can vary a lot from person to person. If you have a really big face or if your ears are further back comparing to normal people, maybe consider a special XL mask.Anyways, thanks you the company who produced these and thank you amazon for fast delivery. These are really good KN-95 masks for the money. They fit well, arrive on time, and the ear loop elastics have never broken off (unlike other brands). I dislike the name of the company since I find it creepy and Big Brother-esque, but you can’t argue with the quality and the number of total users with positive reviews. There might be cheaper masks out there, but these have proven reliable and effective, and you could even push it and wear them a couple of times before disposal (if you don’t work in a hospital environment), so from my perspective this is money well spent.
