Volcanics Privacy Decorative Glass Film Reflective 3D - 44.5 x 200CM Non-Adhesive Static Cling Window Covering

I bought this first for one of the windows of my conservatory. Mainly to reduce the heat (which it does) and also a bit of privacy as this window backs onto next door.It worked on both counts. It looks fantastic, with rainbow colours when the sun hits my conservatory late afternoon. It was easy to fit. I cut it to the exact size even though it said the add extra 1cm all around, as it slightly stretches anyway and it's not so easy to cut once it's up.Cut to size, peel the top part of the paper off (that's the side that goes on the window, wet the window and sheet with slightly soapy water and slide into place. Because it's wet, you can adjust until it's perfect. I then used a window washing blade I had lying around wrapped in a bit of cloth to squeeze the excess water out from top to bottom. Done.It has been on for a few months now, plently of sunshine on it, and it hasn't peeled or cracked - looks as good a when I first did it.So I bought more, and did my bedroom (office) window (pictured), which would get really hot in the mornings when the sun hit it, but now is great. In fact, the other morning I went to my other bedroom window, which isn't covered when the sun was shinning, and it was noticeably much hotter, I was surprised at how hot, as I had got used to the covering reflecting the heat. It really does make the difference between too hot to work and no issues at all. Absolutely recommended.

What an amazing product! I bought and fitted it to help stop my dog from barking at everyone walking into the street.It's easier than you think to fit, you just wet the window and film. If it's not in the right place you can slide it across the surface of the glass until it's where you want , then you just squeegee the water/bubbles out until it's how you want it.I did my windows on my own and all 3 were done within 10 minutes, to great effect.If you can't get it perfect then simply remove and reapply.The rainbows are a bonus extra! You even get them on an evening due to street lighting.I'm very happy with the product. I'm considering buying more to do my patio doors.

Easy to use, good quality. It doesn’t show rainbow colours in the room like I wanted but still very good. Looks pretty and good for extra privacy.

When I received this, I initially had misgivings as to how much privacy they would actually give, since the film looks clear when you open it. I was afraid that if I cut the film to try it on my windows, I wouldn't be able to return it if it didn't give me the privacy I wanted. The company contacted me to check I had received my purchase safely, and they reassured me that I could try out the film, and that if not entirely satisfied, they would accept a return and give me a full refund - you can't ask for more than that! I was very pleased with the end result. I could say that the film gives at least 90% privacy. Someone would have to press their face up to the glass to try to peer in and even then, they wouldn't be able to see much. The colours you can see when sunlight hits the film are absolutely beautiful - I often catch myself admiring them throughout the day. I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend this seller and product.

I am really sorry but this is so dark that it is completely unsuitable if you want light in your room. I have fitted window film before without a problem but I could not get the finish clear no matter what I tried. My wife said that she could not identify the flowers in the garden through it, it is so poor.I have taken it off the window and will have to look for something better

I purchased this film because our large lounge windows needed privacy, but I didn't like how much light blinds or voile panels blocked out. It was pretty easy for my husband and I to apply. We used a vinyl tool kit we got from B&Q for £3, but a stanley knife and credit card wrapped in kitchen roll would've done the same job.This film doesn't block out the light at all and we loved it so much downstairs that we decided to add a panel in our bedroom too. I love the beautiful rainbows it scatters around the room on sunny days. You definitely can't see through the film unless you have your face touching it, but even then everything is distorted. We've had ours up for about a month now with no peeling, bubbles etc.We've actually ordered more and will be putting a strip of it on all our windows, we love it that much!

I live on the first floor directly on the street and was desperate for some privacy, but still wanted to let enough light in and keep my room looking pretty. The film has done that perfectly. It was super easy to apply and there are plenty of videos on youtube if you get confused. The film doesn't have a sticky back, so it won't damage your windows and it can be adjusted if you make a mistake (which I did but quickly learnt how to do it properly). I would highly recommend this film, the rainbows are really pretty, even when there isn't direct sunlight the film still has beautiful rainbows and colours. It isn't too busy, it compliments the room perfectly. People cannot see in from the other side, it is exactly what I was hoping for, thank you so much to the team at Volcanics!

I can’t tell you how much I love this. I purchased this as an alternative to nets. Its clean, tidy and makes beautiful rainbows when the sun shines. It looks like pearlescent stained glass in normal light. It’s quite simply transformed the room.Easy to put up as it it’s actually not sticky and relies on the water creating a vacuum I guess. It will be so much easier to remove if needed. It’s really robust so if I wanted to take off and give it a really good scrub I could and then put it back on.
