Works great for keeping coffee beans fresh
I highly recommend this medium (7") container. It keeps my coffee fresh and holds a full pound of whole beans (see picture). The seals are supple and do their job of 360-degree sealing. What I like about this is that it forces the excess air out, thus reducing the rate of oxidation. I also prefer to NOT have a vacuum so additional CO2 is not pulled out of the beans. While both lids work together to keep out fresh air it cannot be considered leak-proof. Even with the handle in the "lock" position on the inner lid it's still possible to insert and extract it. While there is a seal at the vent port in the center of the inner lid it's not aero-space engineered for absolute sealing! Thus if you got a fresh-from-the-roaster batch of beans and tossed them in there and sealed it all up, the beans would still be able to out-gas the CO2 and burp from the center vent of the inner lid with a small but sufficient pressure while the top lid, if there was enough pressure, would be pushed up and allow the gases to vent. Since I get my beans about a week aged this is not a concern.People need to be a bit more reasonable with their expectations. With both lids, used in a typical kitchen environment, it will be overkill for keeping goods fresh versus an ordinary metal or ceramic container that doesn't have a seal -- or left in the bag like I used to do, LOL.Cons:- It's a fingerprint magnet.- You will see how "dirty" it gets e.g. coffee bean oils. If you're of the mindset of "if it doesn't look dirty it doesn't need to be cleaned" then get one of their metal units.- If your goods need to be kept in the dark this isn't it. But AirScape does make containers that are not clear and do the same great job!Pros:- Holds a pound of coffee beans with room to spare!- Allows you to see exactly how much is left (less guess work). I keep my container in a spot that doesn't get much artificial light, no sunlight, and I got through a pound quickly so light exposure is not an issue for me.- The lid is real wood. Elm I believe.- Does stop air exchange as designed.I struggled with deciding on getting one of their metal, colored units instead of this as the metal ones look great. Hmm, I just may do that for the pre-ground coffee my wife uses...

No nonsense, coffee storage
Convenient way to store coffee without battery packs and gizmos to pump the air out, excellent quality, and at a better price.

Excellent container, could use a protective layer on the bottom
This product is excellent at keeping things fresh. Really ideal for things like coffee beans that spoil when it exposed to air. It also looks great on the counter. The only downside is the glass feels a bit thin on the bottom. I have granite counters and every time I put it down, I worry it'll break. A coaster solves the problem, but it would be even better if it had a thin protective layer on the bottom like the metal Airscape containers.

Works Great
I have bought several of these for storing coffee and I find the glass version to work as expected. I recommend the glass version over to ceramic version since the ceramic version doesn't seal as well. The only downside is I've had one of the bamboo lids break in half when I dropped it, however, the break was clean so I was able to glue it back together and you really can't tell it was broken.

Freshest vacuum seal EVER!
This is a very good container. I use it for my coffee beans before I grind them. It keeps them so fresh that I may buy another for fully ground coffee. The lid is amazing, but keep it on a flat surface when you pull up the vacuum seal, it could slip.

The steel canister version of this is way better + sturdier. I can’t recommend the glass!
Nice enough, but the steel canisters are better.Pros:* Pretty design! Allows you to see what you’re storing easily!Cons:* The inner lid from the glass Airscape isn’t interchangeable with the steel versions of this storage unit.* The glass Airscapes are not stackable like the steel versions.* The steel versions have a silicone non-slip base, making it feel much more stable when removing the suctioned inner lid to get at the contents you’re trying to remove.* Feels fragile. Especially for such a large storage container. When I set it down on the counter, it clinks. Just does not feel thick and weighty like a storage jar made of glass should.* As a consequence, removing the inner suction lid makes this feel dangerous to use, like it could slip and shatter at any moment.* The wooden lid I received with my unit was dented. 🥲I ended up returning mine and purchasing another small steel canister for my coffee beans. Fortunately, I was refunded without needing to return the jar, so I’m assuming my complaints are common. If I could do my purchases over, I’d purchase several small canisters for daily use and stack them! Great concept. Just poor execution on the glass version.
