Higher quality and sturdier than I had anticipated. I have a rectangular 16 x 32 ft pool with a fairly substantial solar cover. The reel assembled easily (took about 90 minutes). Attached securely and squarely to solar cover. With my wife on one side to anchor the stand guide the cover, and me on the other to crank the wheel and guide the cover, we rolled the cover squarely and very easily onto the reel. I’m very pleased.

We have a heated pool and during the cooler months the solar cover extends our swim time without expense of the electricity. We had to cut it to our size and it was not hard. Also as seniors it’s manageable to put on & off The set up is sturdy Very happy with this purchase

It works pretty good, better when secured to something (in my case the fence). It is lightweight which is both good and bad. Good if you want to move it, but bad because if your liner snags anything the whole thing move. This is why I attached it to the fence.

I reached out to the Support email twice about my product. They finally did reply and quickly resolved my request.

This is the first season that I have used this solar cover reel. It was easy to assemble, seems sturdy enough for my needs and is easy to operate. Rolling up the cover is a breeze for one person... rolling the cover out over the pool can be done by one person, but having a person on each side makes the job quick and easy. I do recommend getting a pair of (water-filled) weights for the reel's feet. They just help hold the reel in place while using it.

Pros: Reel is lightweight, pretty easy to assemble, and can easily be moved/ rolled wherever you need it. Concept is good.Cons: Reel is lightweight. Almost too light. Definitely can’t unroll and roll without one person standing on the other end holding the base down. If you try to roll or unroll the pool cover by yourself the other end just tips right over cause there’s a lot of weight and pulling to the cover itself which definitely wasn’t described in the listing or video they show. We have an 18x36 pool and with a little extra water on the cover since it is wet the total weight of the cover far exceeds what the reel can handle with one person using it. Was very irritating seeing that it isn’t in fact as easy as the description and video make it seem. Also in the instructions (and not the description or video) they offer some tie down rings that you would have to drill into the pool deck to permanently secure the reel. So now I either have to decide on keeping sandbags on each end to weight the feel down so one person can hopefully roll the cover off the pool or drill holes in my deck and take away the mobility of the reel and screw it down into the cement. Not what I was expecting. At least in the description they should really mention that the only way one person can use this would be if they have a really small pool and cover. Otherwise the weight of the cover is just too much for this reel.

This product ships in two boxes. I only received one. Amazon guided me to contact VINGLI for support. I contacted them 3 times over the coarse of a week, told them I would give them a bad review if they didn't reply, to which they finally did. After a week of waiting for another reply I decided to return this product and give then a bad customer service review. I hope you receive your 2 boxes when you ordered this.

The product quality is outstanding. It's much better than the worn and saggy reel it replaced. There are, however, two areas that need improvement. #1 is the assembly instructions. Assembly is quite simple but the instructions rely almost completely on pictures. I few words at each stage would make assembly a bit easier. #2 The reel is shipped in two packages. Competitors use shorter tubes, allowing for a smaller box. The Vingli uses just 3 tubes, allowing for a stronger, stiffer reel, but it means the box is very long and leaves no way to pack everything in a single box. That's not a problem, two boxes. The problem is box 1 is shipped with a tracking number and all the info Amazon is famous for. Box 2 is a ghost. Amazon closes shipping info after box 1. The only hint that there is a 2nd box it some printing on the first box that I didn't see until I finally discovered a second box was coming. I suggest Amazon and Vingil both make a better effort to explain the other parts are not missing, they are coming in another shipment. Tracking for that shipment would help. Mine were several days apart.
