I use this to check my fountain pen nibs and I love how it lights up to show more of the nib. I love this loupe magnifier and has a reticle scale.

Like the product, but could use slight improvement:* Great image quality. The Diopter adjust is great, a must.* The reticle are great, but a bit distracting, if not needed. I trained my mind to ignore the complex reticle pattern* The One/Off switch is a bit stiff and its plastic form needs its edges to not be so sharp.* The LEDs must use a lot of current, as the light comes after a minute or 2, if left on. I therefore turn it off between readings.Despite these shortcomings (that could easily be fixed in the next Design revision), I like the product because it does what it's supposed to.

What a great magnifier. This one was recommended and linked on my rimfire shooting forum so I bit the bullet (hehe) and ordered one. My primary use is for scoring USBR targets using a scoring plug. The magnifier cylinder is tall enough to fit a standard 22lr scoring plug. The clarity and lighting of this magnifier is incredibly crisp and bright making this the perfect tool for my uses. I'm also a bit of a mineral nerd so I've been using it to inspect some of my smaller fossils and gemstones as well. It was a little pricey but SO worth it. Really happy.

I was tossed up whether to get this one or to spend the extra in order to get a Peak loupe. I can say that I'm 100% happy with my decision to get this one. Unlike other loupes I've used, there isn't any color fringing when viewing printed images slightly off axis. It also has a surprisingly wide aperture to look through, a very smooth and solid rotation ring for focusing, and the light is really a nice feature that wasn't available on the Peak loupes I was considering.I did remove the screen (glass chart) as it was too busy (I'd prefer one that just offered a measurement scale) and had to read the guide on how to remove the battery pull tab so I could get the light to work. I'm still getting used to working the snap on the case - I wish that was a little easier to secure - but I'm very happy with this purchase. Highly recommended.

My twin brother who also has low vision highly recommended this. So, I bought one. It is durable and works great, and the light is bright! Light switch has a good snappiness to it. The measuring plate is removable. I use it without that. If you have low vison or something similar, like I do, you'll find this very helpful. This technology has improved. A+

I am having great difficulty getting this to work for me .I have used a jewelers loop for 20 years and I cannot use this one. Takes too long to focus then when I flip the ring to look at the under gallery it goes completely out of focus , -not for me .I ordered the old fashion kind.
