Wow, it works!
I've had to replace my elderly laptop's charger. It fit my Inspiron 1720 and has been working perfectly for a couple months now. It doesn't get hot like the original Dell one did.

cord from adapter brick to laptop is too short
The cord from the adapter brick to the laptop is too short (3 to 3.5 ft), which doesn't allow me to put the laptop comfortably on my lap without lifting the adapter brick and have it dangling a few inches off the floor. The cord length from the adapter brick to the AC plug is fine (4ft). Everything else works fine - no excess heat, no buzzing. The plug stays in the laptop without easily falling out. The cord to the AC plug is nice and thick.

very good product
didn't use it right away, but have begun to use it now, works just fine even has a bit of velcro which attaches to the velcro i put on my laptop to hold the cord to the lap top (see You Tube) as i had been having problems with the cord just falling out the back of the machine while i was using it. using velcro to hold the cord to the lap top works great. if i wear this one out like i did the last one i will definitely buy another from this same vendor.

Broken after 3 months
This replacement computer charging cord worked well for my needs for about 3 months. The plastic casing surrounding the wires connected at the wall plug-in end and at the connection to the box have broken apart, exposing the wires. One of the ends isn't even in a place where it would be pulled on, even accidentally. Also, this cord wasn't unplugged very often since I don't move this laptop much. It was treated very well (I never pulled on the cord to unplug it, always held it in the correct spot to unplug, etc.), and I've never had any other laptop electrical cord fail in this way. So, I'm sure it wasn't me mishandling the cord. With the clean look of the break and the timing (both ends gave way at the same time, I believe it is poor craftsmanship. I definitely will not buy products from this company again.
