Best coat I’ve had
Very warm and wind resistant. Highly durable and comfortable. Minimalistic style is always a plus in my book. The hood is a great size (I have a giant head), but if you want something you can tighten, this isn’t it. I like the inside pocket with a zipper on the left. I put so much in it and hardly notice any bulk.

Durable, lightweight, and mobile (although a bit noisy)
I am 5' 11" and 200 lbs and went with the large after trying on a medium at a local store. The medium felt like it could work but I wanted a slightly more relaxed fit to accommodate layers. I am glad I went with the large. I have a full range of motion without anything pulling or being taut. Both the inner sleeve elastic and the outer sleeve fit me perfectly, although due to the nature of the sleeves you have to mess with it to see your watch and get it back in place. It is both lighter and thinner than I would have imagined given how warm and wind-resistant it is which is nice.It does have a nylon shell which, while probably very durable and abrasion resistant, is not the quietest material out there. If you're actually out working with it on, the sound falls off your radar fast but if you're standing outside in silence, you may be surprised by how loud it seems as you move your arms around, especially with the hood up.There are plenty of winter jackets around the $200 price point, but if you're looking for durability, light weight, and range of motion, this one is tough to beat from my viewpoint.

Superior Quality, Warmth & Value
Amazing work jacket. Very durable. It cuts the wind and keeps you super warm. I’m not sure there is a better work jacket available anywhere for the value you get from this!!!It is a little tight in my upper back/shoulder area when doing certain tasks at work, but that’s probably my fault. I have a muscular build and I went large instead of XL. Everything else about the jacket is phenomenal. Carhartt is the truth!

Warm, light-weight, zips up tight
Well-made jacket that does what it's supposed to do. Much warmer than my other jackets. Seems waterproof though I haven't been out in the rain for hours at a time to really test it. Tough outer material resists ripping. No detectable damage after a winter of abuse. The hood zips up tight around your head. Size runs a bit large, but that's typical for Carhartt.Only downside is black sure does attract and show all manner of dog hair, wood ash, sawdust, etc. But it all comes off easily as well. I would probably have selected a lighter color if one was available. You buy from Carhartt because you're going to get it dirty, and black is not the best color for the sort of dirt I operate in.Would definitely buy it again. No regrets!

Researched this and many others.
And I bought this coat based off that research. This coat is for anyone who absolutely has to depend on their coat for their survival. I guide and am an outdoor person. I have many ,many ,coats This coat is bomb proof. Rain proof, wind proof, and warm. It's made to not rip or tear. If you could only have one coat , hands down this would be the one. This is made for rough and tough. It is not made for fashion . It is made for outdoor people. Make sure you get the one with the hood. They run big like all Carhart coats. I'm 6'5 250 and the xxl big and tall fits me perfect. I can wear a hoodie underneath no problem. If you want an outdoor coat you can bet your life on . This is the coat you need. I like it being waterproof and ""windproof ""and extremely warm . And it does those perfectly. I will carry this coat in my Jeep 24/7/365 . When it hits the fan you'll be glad you bought this exact coat. And for under $200 you'll never ever get a better coat . Do the research like I did , you'll end up buying this exact coat. I ended up buying one for both my sons as well. Peace.

Very warm, great quality
I really think that the Carhartt Yukon Extreme is an awesome upgrade from the classic Carhartt Duck jackets. The yukon seems to be just as high quality and durable. It's warmer than the duck while being no bulkier, more comfortable, has a better hood, cuff, and pockets. Overall I really like the yukon jacket a lot after having used a duck jacket for years, it's definitely worth spending a little more. I do think that the yukon seems to run a little bit short, just as with the duck jacket, so I wish that would have been improved on. I am about 6'0" and 185lbs and the waist of the jacket rises up and I constantly have to pull it down. I am going to be returning and reordering the big and tall version to see if the length is better. Other than that, I love the jacket and the quality.

YES!
I am a female 215 lbs and 5’8”, pretty curvy. I purchased this jacket because I thought the reviews seemed very reliable. Many reviews were from people who work outside in the winter and they said this was a warm jacket. I work outside rain, snow, or shine in upstate New York winters for eight hours without a break to come into the warm, so I really need something that is extremely warm. This jacket is nice and thin in a way, not too bulky, but it is extremely warm. The product quality is excellent , much higher quality than I see with women’s clothes. I can tell this is going to be a forever jacket. Even though the shoulders are large on me and the waist is small, because it is fit for a male, I am still happy to wear this jacket. My assumption is that it is not going to be very breathable, given that it blocks out the wind, but I will try it with a light thermal layer underneath and I think that will be enough. When zipped up with the hood up and cinched tight with the drawstrings, it is super protective and warm.
