These grates are really good. They are not the same ones that are on the original grill (I have a Genesis Silver 2004) that have that slick protective material coated on the cast iron, though. I was initially worried about that and having them get rusty, but these haven't had any issues. I have done 3 cooks so far and all have turned out well and the grates have been very easy to clean. I did season it before using, not sure you NEED to, but I figured it wouldn't hurt. They are sturdy and not as heavy as the original ones. Nice little tune up to a 16 year old grill. I own lots of Weber gear and was hesitant to go "off brand" but also did not want to pay $80 for new grates. These have worked out very well so far.

My grill is 12 yrs old and instead of buying a new one, I opted to replace parts. These fit perfectly and it’s the only place I found replacement.

I have an old Weber Genesis Silver grill that my dad bought back in the late 90s. I love that thing and have grilled hundreds of times on it. The old grates were totally worn out and I was having a difficult time finding new ones but then these showed up on an Amazon search so I bought them. They fit my grill perfectly and are holding up very well so far. I'm grateful (pun intended) that someone continues to make parts for these older grills because they truly last forever and it's great to be able to replace parts as needed to keep them going.
