i have an outhouse about 50ft from my house, its connected to the same electrics, would these work/give me wifi?

Mine is situated 30 feet away in the garage on same mains power. One plugged in living room and other in garage. Good strong signal as was non existent before even runs Amazon prime films. Needs to be plugged on main socket and not an extension.

Will it work with another tp-link model like tp-link tl-wpa8630pkit. i need another avers point but i don't want the whole kit. the same model single.

I bought an additional unit (of the same model) and it all works great, I understand that mixing units with different speed ratings can cause problems, I had this before although can't be sure why it dropped out occasionally.

Can you plug a router in at the other end and use it for wifi rather than ethernet cable into device

No need for another router. It is mesh. It automatically gets the SSID details and simulates the same wifi network at the remote end using the built in AP.

Will these work with a bt smart hub 2?

Definitely will, just connect one gigaport to the powerline adapter at the beginning of the chain and good to go.
