This exhaust system works exceptionally well. I ordered it to replace a similar old model, and we've been very pleased with it. Installation required help from a local technician. The noise level when in operation depends on how high you set the adjustable fan speed.

Never seen a product delivery like this. Box was destroyed. Styrofoam protecting the device destroyed product has damage. Missing parts. Trying to Return and seems like a hassle. Not sure how to ship this back. Complete waste of time and money.

The first one I ordered never arrived so I canceled the order. I ordered again in a few weeks and it arrived in just a few day, in great shape. We were having a new gas stove top installed and this was installed at the same time.For the install, it fit nicely in the 36" cabinet. However, the vent pipes for the previous downdraft were directly under where this fit into the cabinet. Even though you can change whether it vents to the right, left, or directly down, the unit went almost to the bottom of the cabinet directly on top of the vent pipe. But the installer cut some metal and created a custom vent connection. Everything worked out great.For operations, when I initially popped it up the fan did not work. With a quick inspection, I found a speed control on the side of the riser. This allows me to set the fan speed as I wish. The fan is a little noisyat the mid to high speeds. It is also a little noisy when it rises. But all in all, this is a nice unit for the money.

Product works much better than the older unit I had. Much less noise when operating even on high. Easy to install as I did it myself. The trick is to remove the motor to reduce the weight, put in the down draft first, then put the motor back on, and tape up the duct connection. Got the stainless steel one to match our new cooktop.

Installed this as it was the only unit that would fit a replacement. Worked well the first 3-4 years then started to act wonky...go up and down by itself, will not stay up/stay down. No matter what adjustments I make, it had a mind of its own. Fan works great, but looks like it died and I will have to replace it. Another 800 bucks...

Do not buy!!!!We read the product description prior to our purchase. It clearly states that this downdraft system could be installed with a range or stove top for electric and gas units. When we went to install the system, it WILL NOT install with MAJOR modifications to our cabinetry! Now, they will not take the system back due to their 30 day policy. $900 down the drain!

This product is perfect for my needs. I didn't want the look of a huge clunky hood above my big beautiful island. This does the job, it is a bit loud, but nothing too bad. It sucks the steam and odors in just fine. I have had it for more than a year and I couldn't live without it.

This was shipped to a renovation project three hours from us and arrived with the top panel bent. Our installers took it out to measure with the new granite countertop and found it badly bent on one side. Now, after presenting this to seller, they require (without any forewarning) pictures of all sides of the box. The installers and or builder threw their trash away, so we've been told we're out of luck. Obviously, if you buy from this seller, realize you may get stuck with something they or their shipper did.Update: now that the contractor finally has gotten to installation, the entire unit is bent and the vent will not extend or retract. Since this project is 3 hours from home, and this seller refuses responsibility for damaged goods unless you can take photographs of the unit and packaging which I wasn’t present to do, it is presumed your contractor dropped it and trashed the thing. Other sellers who have had this happened have worked with us on similar issues, but not this seller. Beware.
