Red Wagon Helper
Radio Flyer Classic Red WagonWhen shopping for a "little red wagon" for my needs, I wanted to know what the dimensions of the inside of the wagon were. This I could not find. Here are the ones for this wagon: INSIDE OF WAGON (the carrying area)-- Length 33 1/4 inches (tight fit); Width -- 14 1/2 inches (tight); Outer Length of wagon --36 1/2" (outer "lip to lip" of wagon); Width -- 17 1/2" (outer "lip to lip" of wagon); Whole Length of wagon from outer edge at rear to tip of "axle" -- 38 1/2 inches (Tongue, aka: handle, folds nicely under wagon -- total length with tongue extended approx. 73". The sides are 4" high.I am a 63 yr. old woman with several health issues. I assembled this myself (easy to do if you like assembling things like jigsaw puzzles, etc). I believe the materials in this wagon are very good and durable (of course, time will tell), almost all metal except for tires (ditto). These are not the air filled tires of some versions. The tires are large and solid (heavy) and would appear to take a fair amount of wear. I have not found any sharp areas that might prick a child. I love the extra length on the handle as bending is a problem for me.I have already used this for hauling my groceries into the house from my vehicle. I frequently buy gallon jars of water. This will carry the ten jars in with a little room left over (not much). They say a gallon of water equals 8 pounds. So this carries a fair amount of weight. If I am not buying water, this carries all of my groceries. Sometimes I put a plastic container in it to enable me to stack more groceries in one trip. I also use it for carrying my Chihuahuas on walks. I put their crate (1 crate) into the wagon and off we go. It moves easily on sidewalks. Don't know about any other surfaces. I use it to move things inside the house from room to room (medium sized containers full of pictures that I am scanning to computer which are too heavy for me to carry; larger plants which I relocate from time to time, things that I move from storage and back again, I have even moved an older tv on it -- setting it on plywood on the wagon to do so, etc). So, I am very pleased to have this as it enables me to stay a little more independent and not have to rely upon help from others as much.I think parents would like this for their children. However, the over-sized air filled tires may work better for long walks with children, depending upon the surface you are traveling (then you might need to be concerned about the tires going flat???). I like that this is almost all metal. I keep it on the back porch out of the weather. All metals exposed to the elements will eventually rust. The paint job is excellent and appears reasonably durable. I gave this 4 stars for durability because I have not had it long enough to determine this but it appears to be very durable.I would like to point out that the customers who complain about the smell are absolutely correct! The tires will smell up the whole house quickly if inside for too long. After a while, I cannot stand the smell in the house. I am hoping the smell will dissipate after a while. I feel this wagon is worth keeping ..... but not inside the house. I have enjoyed this so far. I hope this helps someone trying to decide which wagon to get.08/06/2010 - I set the wagon on its side with the tires facing the sun on my front porch. I left it like that for a couple of weeks. At the end of that time, no more smelly tires! I keep this in the house and love its usefulness.

Best Wagon Ever!
I bought this wagon and took it to Ireland to gift it to my best friend's grandchildren. It was a big hit! They loved it.

Envy of the neighborhood...
While it has only been a month or so, this wagon has been great so far. Assembly was a breeze except for the bolts. The manufacturer still uses a flat head bolt, and a wide one at that so it was a bit hard to ratchet up the nut on the underside and keep the screwdriver in the bolt on the top. Other than that, figure on a half hour or so to put this bad boy together. The bucket is deep, we put our one year old in it and pull him around the neighborhood. All the kids want a ride. Even adults stop to talk about their wagon they had as kids. It really is nostalgic. Back to the product... it is sturdy and the inflatable wheels make a smooth ride and easy to pull. I will tell you that the wheels give off an obnoxious odor, even now it is still not gone. The only other drawback I see is that the black handle is straight and not bent towards to the box at all. My son likes to be next to you when we walk, so I like to hold the wagon and push it by the handle, if it were angled back a bit it would be perfect. Not going to knock off a star for either of those two. The only I thing I did was attach a safety strap to the box. Just a simple one, like the ones on a high chair. I secured them under with the back bolts in the box. They keep my son seated if I need to use them. This is a sturdy well made product and will last through several kids if you need it to. My son loves to cruise the neighborhood in it. Just an FYI, here in Las Vegas it gets hot so I use a fitted baby crib sheet with a bath towel underneath for comfort and to keep the box cool. It does warm up with the sun here.

The most durable and dependable Wagon for years to come
I use this for tugging along anything and everything that I need to go with me. It is extremely durable. I have just now ordered my second and I’ve had my first wagon for about 15 years and still looks almost like new. I ordered the second for a back up for tugging in all my groceries to the house. I ordered a different kind of wagon and it was too big to go through my door to bring in my groceries. I returned it and ordered my second wagon.

Slight damage, not giftable, but fine
Purchased this as used, very good condition. It arrived timely, had one piece missing (cotter pin which I purchased for .29 cents, some sides of the upper lip were bent. I was able to pull it out somewhat…as we are using this as a garden wagon it is just fine. Just know that Amazon said this was in very good condition…I would not have kept it if it were intended as a gift to a child.
