Great taste but not as creamy in texture as we like.
Good flavor but not creamy and falls apart when you slice it. We just prefer a creamy texture. Price is on point as compared to what we have previously purchased.

not happy
The ad for this included a gift box. There was no gift box, only the shipping box. This was a gift for Mother’s day.Igourmet seemed very proud of the gift box and it was part of the attraction for this $100+ piece of cheese!

A gorgeously delicious Stilton shipped with care!
I sent this as a gift to a dear friend who has a lifelong passion for Stilton. The first order was shipped in a timely manner but delayed by transportation company. I contacted the shipper who graciously replaced it. It arrived in timely manner and my friend raves about how well it was packaged and even more about the incredible quality of this cheese. When I visited he shared some with me and this is the real deal. Excellent quality and customer oriented shipper. I will order again.

Famous English Blue Cheese
I liked gift box with curled wood shavings sprinkled in for cushion. Never had before and happy to try. I favor sheep cheese like manchego cheese and cow cheese like Camembert from Normandy.Found Stilton too briny in the way olives are, best used as an appetizer. Maybe why this blue cheese a famous pub cheese. I have ancestry in Derbyshire area from late 1600s. . .before Stilton cheese commercialized. Made me curious to try.Have frozen slices of the half round for cheeseburgers though read can use in soup, or with pears, celery.Best wishes on cheese journey.update March 13, 2021 from Feb 19, 2021Found my taste profile better suited to less pungent cheese:enjoyed this purchase by cutting into 32 pieces and crumbling half of 1/32 into soft ricotta cheese.Galbani whole milk ricotta classic 2 ingredients. Would like to try buffalo milk mozarella . . .and ricotta made from its whey.I put this Stilton Ricotta on two burgers (I eat burgers once a week as tried Kansas steakhouse). Despite mixed in a dollop of ricotta that flavor pops when it finds way into sandwich bite. Still lingers afterwards. Can skip but if trying to connect with NW Europe ancestry. . .Why Italian with English? Found out from genetic mytrueancestry,. . .have some Pembrokeshire Welsh English area. Used their population ancient groups to understand my own results with region lists. Looked at maps of Belgae Celtic tribe in Wiltshire and read more history.Wales got a Flemish colony of Visigoth Franks 12 century post storm. Flanders has 10% celt and about 60% N. German Frankish. And maybe 5% Italian from Roman colony days.Ok to stop, just more on why I liked that cheese . . .So like surprise Stilton flavor in ricotta I have interesting shared life to Derbeyshire close to Angle Saxons and ancient Rome Colony Flanders. Plus more Italian from court musicians of French Henry II to English Charles II. About slow foodslow cheeseancestor story in chilly Lenten season to connect with old life to keep it going.Have a nice cup of tea <3
