This kit was a pain to install on a KTM 890 adventure due to the vacuum lines being under the tank. But once all done it works good. Install looks clean and the included hoses and vacuum connectors feel robust enough. Adjusted it after install per the directions. I really was expecting an oily mess, but to my surprise it does what it supposed to. I bought the green oil to put in it, no complaints. Installed the reservoir on right side below the seat. I originally wanted an electric one but for the price I decided to try this one, seems like a value option that works.

I have bought, and installed more than 24 of these ScottOilers onto chain drive motorcycles, and absolutely LOVE them. The local motorcycle dealers now expect me to have them on every bike I own, and they joke about it, but then I got them convinced, they they too recommend them. It is SMART to use a chain oiler on your motorcycle.

Reasonably priced oiler was easy to install, setup and adjust. Just need a few thousand miles to assess its effectiveness.

I have to say that this a a great product for the lazy man like myself. While is far from a Set-it & Forget-it type of product it works great. You will have to pay attention to your riding conditions and your style of riding. I ride mostly in temperatures 70 degrees fahrenheit and above, so I've only used the red high temp oil. If you ride regularly you will want to check it every now and then to see if you need to make adjustments, I've also found that most (if not all) of the negative feedback is from people that didn't use it properly. Once again this is NOT a set-it and forget-it product but it does help if you are as lazy and/or forgetful as I am with chain maintenance.

I use a Scotts oiler on any chain drive motorcycle I ever owned! Worth the effort.

First, I will start that installing this is not for the faint of heart. I had to quite literally disassemble my bike, removing the tank, the fairings, and the intake box in order to get it installed. Fortunately, the instructions booklet that came with the kit is well thought out and uses color diagrams to show how things hook up. I also used the internet as a major source and Scottoiler actually has bike specific instructions for my CBR1100XX!I pulled the vacuum straight from the block (using the included adapter) as I did not want to cut any vacuum lines. I then carefully ran the vacuum line along the inside of my frame with existing cables and wires to protect and hide it. It runs through the relay area unsecured at the moment, but I will eventually tidy it up to look like it belongs there.The oil line was MUCH easier to run because it has more flex and has (included) sticky stays that allowed me to route it along my swingarm. Priming the oil line was actually easier then the instructions have you do because the act of filling the oil reservoir pushed the oil through the line.Calibrating the amount of drops per minute took about 2 minutes of running the bike and the simple knob adjustment made easy work of it.Time will tell how effective this system is, but I have no doubt that my Jinormous 530 chain's life will be extended.

Easy to fit…great low maintenance chain oiler.
