The light and sound options are great. The sleep and wake function is great for letting kids know when they should get out if bed and when they should stay in their bed/room.

We were desperate to get our daughter to sleep later. We were up everyday between 4 and 5am. Since the first day we got Mella we moved to 6am. We were hesitant to get Mella but I must say it is worth the money. Our daughter stays in bed till Mella turns green. Best buy ever.
