It softened hard water and product worked beyond my expectation level. Easy to install and fits perfectly well.

Bangalore has really terrible water supply and quality. The hard water can be highly corrosive for everything it touches. This includes clothes and washing machine. This product might not do miracles but offers reasonable protection. An expensive but a good product. Can be made cheaper and more sustainable.

I'm writing the review just after installing the filter in top load machine. I'll update after a week and then after 2-3 months to see its overall effectiveness.The descaler tablet that I ordered along with filter is reviewed in the end. The 2 pictures with foam are about the descaler tablet.So, the filter was very easy to install, also the tape delivered with filter helped tighten the filter to machine inlet. However, since it is top load machine, the filter is upside-down. Not sure if that matters in anyway. On first use, filter started to turn yellowish already so it must be filtering something.I've given 3 stars for now because the amazon product specification said it would last 6 months for top load but the box says 3-4 months, now that's a big discrepancy in product info so unless it is fixed, I'm dropping 2 stars for that.Descaler tablets are needed to remove hard water scales from walls machine tub and its filter. In the picture you can see how badly clogged is the washing machine filter, and it doesn't wash away even after scrubbing. It's hard scales. I followed the process, by using 6 tablets for first time and kept it for 3 hours more than recommended 2 hours, ran a full wash cycle. The results were highly disappointing, the whole process didn't cleaned anything, no noticeable results. The descaler tablet failed badly, so dropping 2 more stars from rating.Update:After a week of filter usage, I can say that it is a useless filter. It justs keeps getting darker and darker. I measured TDS of water before and after filter. Both readings were exactly same, 317.Even my basic drinking water filter brings TDS down to 177.Unless manufacturer or seller has to comment more on this review, I say don't buy this product, it can be a scam.

In my apartment, I suffer with hard water and was constantly looking for a solution for my Washing Machine so that hard water can be converted into soft such that the cloth quality Does not get impacted during Washing. Finally, someone recommended me to go with waterscience Product and I bought this one. I been using it for last five days and found that it is working. I fully recommend this product. It’s easy to install and works perfectly as expected.

Was surprised how big a difference it made to the daily wash. It actually revived the colors on some clothes whole making most much softer after the wash. The refill is expensive, but almost makes up for it's cost. FYI... I'm in Bangalore, dependent on very hard tanker water, so the difference may have been exaggerated.Update: after making the first replacement, the fitting has started to leak. It leaks from the cap at the machine end and no amount of PTFE tape helps. Points to bad design, as the grooves for this cap are very large and sharp and just cut up the PTFE tape when you tighten it.Downgrading to 3 stars.

The product is very useful for filtering the water for washing machine ,which is helpful for cleaning clothes in filtered water. After every 6month or depending on the usage of washing machine the filter has to be changed or else water won’t go at all even after you use, running fine as of now except the filter part since needs cleaning.

After installing the product I turned on the washing machine and the part of the product broke and water started leaking. Poor product quality. Didn’t get a chance to see if the hardness goes down or not since it broke before I can even use it.
