This is a great coffee maker. Both cold and hot brew options, timer, fast brew, built in water filter! I also use it to brew my tea, and it works great!! Well worth the spend!!

The media could not be loaded. I will be writing multiple reviews for this product , if permitted. All the basic functions work fine. The resulting coffee tastes great. However, the unit has big design flaws. The first issue is the constant loud clicking. Once the hot plate is on, the thermostat tends to turn it on and off which results in constant noise. I understand the concern for conserving energy but the clicking is loud and frequent. It could have been designed better.It turns out I am not allow multiple videos. The second video I was going to post was the water issue: the auto-stop mechanism rests on the pot and is so poorly design that hot water starts running down it, down the pot, and onto the hot plate. This creates a constant sizzling and causes permanent damage to the plate. You wipe it off mid-brew, put the pot back, and minutes later more water runs down. I have examined everything. Nothing is misaligned, nothing is clogged. It i just a very bad design.Do not buy this unit. I’m very disappointed as I used to be a fan of Braun.

This 14 cup coffeemaker is rather large (preferred 12 cup), but I wanted white so I chose this model. It works well, but set up is guided by a one page manual with one sentence of instruction at most, and pictures to guide the use. While the product works well, I found the brew to be so so and for the price, I would not purchase another one by Braun. The quality of the coffeemaker itself is good, but others would have been just as good with a lower price point. As for the manual, I went to the website to see if there was more operation instructions, but they show the exact one page with pictures. Not all the functions are covered, but I will keep it---just would not recommend it for this reason.

A quality coffee maker. I like its simplicity while have all the features I need to make coffee. Well worth the money.

This coffee maker worked great while it lasted. Great tasting coffee every time, easy to clean and maintain, and relatively easy to use/ program. However today after coffee was brewed like normal, the warming plate was on for 3 hours and then auto- shut off as usual, and then all of a sudden the inside of the machine sparked and began to burn; the outer part of my machine was white and there was a noticeable orange colored shadow flickering on part of the machine and there was also a noticeable burning smell coming from the machine. Naturally I am 3 months past the 1 year warranty period, so I have no other recourse than to purchase a brand new coffee maker. Obviously will not be choosing this brand again

When we first received this Braun coffee maker, our first impression is it is a good looking coffee maker.What attracted us to this coffee maker was the option to adjust temperature (we like it hot) and the strength (we like it bold).First off, the coffee maker went into cleaning mode and wouldn't stop after several water refills trying to run it out. The instructions say the cleaning light only comes on when there is scale in the coffee maker and this was the first time we used it as a new coffee maker.We immediately filed for a return (super easy thanks to Amazon's return policy on this product). Added a video and if you listen to the audio, you may sense my frustration as after a few "clean cycles" I decided to add coffee and it came out really yucky - what a waste!Then the coffee maker decided to work after all. The "auto on" button never lit up - we are wondering if that means our machine was defective?. We were able to select the bold and the hot temperature and finally able to set the clock (that needs to be done as it governs everything else). We were never able to adjust the time to auto shut off (default is 2 hours). The touch pad did not seem to work well.The coffee maker is loud and when we finally got it to work - it made an irritating clicking sound every few minutes.We used the included gold filter and our coffee ended up with a dark grittiness. Using our "go to" Melitta paper filter (Cone #4) made the coffee taste a lot better than with the reusable gold cone filter - no grit and less bitterness. We compost so the filters go into the compost pile versus the garbage.Prior to this coffee maker we had ordered a 14 C programmable Calphalon that we loved (my brother "borrowed it"), but this Braun 14 cup programmable coffee maker seemed to have the same features for less money. We have returned this Braun coffee maker after thoroughly cleaning it and repacking it in the original box (looks like new) and will order another Calphalon. Our overall opinion is the display on this Braun coffee maker doesn't work properly (pressure sensitive buttons do not respond all the time and instructions are poor) and the coffee doesn't taste as good as with the Calphalon. In case you too are looking at the variety of bold coffee makers offered on Amazon, we had previously tried the Hamilton Beach bold coffee maker and also didn't feel like the coffee stayed warm enough and the taste was't really bold and flavorful. Hope all this helps you decide if this is the right coffee maker for you.
