Easy to connect from my old dvd player to a new Sony tv in order to play old dvds. Do need to connect to the plug for power.

Fantastic. Connected my old VCR to my TV. Scart out of VCR to convertor, hdmi out of convertor to TV. Powered the convertor via a spare usb port on the TV. Excellent, enjoying watching some old videos and family stuff I put together years ago! And great bringing old kit back to life!

Price is good had to return a different one but this one worked fine once - it was connected properly. You have to have all devices turned off Before you connect the Scart plug in DVD player, and the hdmi cable to Tv & the power supply cable connected to TV’s USB port. (If like us you may have to buy or find a cable that fits the box that is long enough) Then turn Tv back on First , switch source to dvd or port 1-2 ? Then turn dvd onSome others have said it doesn’t always recognise dvd until its actually playing?We have LG TV & then it connects immediately!Update: after using three times - for some reason same night the Tv upt and refused to recognise it. The Tv Manuel troubleshooter - said various things including cable might be broken - but it isn’t - so is mystery - so until resolved back to aware one - no DVD’s playing ! It’s not fair to blame the product as it was working find one minute and not the next ? Have tried all usual things to get it work. I would T let it stop me recommending product because it did work.

Set this up but as soon as it’s connected to the TV it causes the tv to freeze. Not sure why. Will continue to try to get it to work, I’m it must but just need to find route of problem.
