Great quality architectural ruler
Staedtler makes the highest quality rulers. I enjoy the ease of readability and accuracy. It doesn’t feel like cheap plastic and is sturdy.

Very good value
I bought ten of these for a middle school math club. The quality is good for the price. As opposed to something I read in one of the answered questions, the scales are indeed engraved, or rather cast into the plastic, so they should wear very well. One of the darling students went after one with a sharp metal straightedge and ruined the edge of one of the scales. That's just plain vandalism, but indicates that the plastic is not super hard. Very good for showing the concept and advantages of scales made in engineering units rather than architects'.

We use this for Nursery/Landscape problem solving within a contest. I’ve purchased 5 of these and they work great!! Numbers are easy to read!

Old School can still be useful
Solid product from 30 years ago. Make sure you order the correct scale, this is an engineers scale. I meant to get an architects scale. Great for when a computer and software isn't available.
