Actually tested and MINIMUM strength rated soft shackles
Too many junk soft shackles on the market that use "maximum" theoretical strength as their advertised strength. Foreign or no testing, and the best case scenario, not what your strap may break at. Also these ratings are typically not affixed to the strap itself. IF you don't mind broken soft shackles and the associated safety risks, then I don't agree with your philosophies on life and safety, but buy the cheap ones.RAYTEEN tests their products, and puts a MINIMUM breaking strength on a label on each strap. Sincerely appreciated! Thank you RAYTEEN!That said, soft shackles have their own limitations with age, UV, grit, cuts, abrasion, use, etc. so replace them on regular intervals, or if they show any damage whatsoever, as internal damage can go unseen until failure. If you are using hard points on a vehicle or using an anchor strap on a tree, etc. - My recommendation is to always use a quality (not Chinese) steel bow shackle. In using recovery gear, ratings and working loads matter! Quality bow shackles (such as a Crosby G-209A) have high working loads (7 Ton working load limit - WLL - for a 3/4" shackle!), and have a minimum tested safety factor of 4.5:1, meaning they will have a MINIMUM breaking strength of 63,000 pounds! I have seen these tested to over 8 times the WLL before failure in one case. Metal shackles also last a lifetime with no replacement necessary. The WLL is stamped on each shackle, and you just know what you have, and that it will NEVER break. This will never be the weakest link in your rigging. Not so for soft shackles...Different type of rigging require different gear. I prefer quality metal shackles in general, however, when using a soft shackle, use a rated one, such as the RAYTEEN. Even though the rating is a failure number with no safety factor like the WLL numbers have, they still provide a MINIMUM breaking strength. Thus far I have had no issues with RAYTEEN products, and I recommend them! Great value for the money, and an actual "minimum breaking strength" on a label sewn to each strap.Recommended!

Soft shackle
Probably more than I need with a rating of 55,000 lbs but should do the job.

Product appears good quality.
Product quality appears better than some others I have. Stiffer rope a well, so should be less susceptible to wearing from use. Box however was damaged in shipping to the point it's was fortunate the product arrived at all. Box was ripped wide open.

Handy Soft Shackle
I have a power boat that I park on gravel, just off my driveway. It’s in a place that’s awkward to back my pickup to in order to get the trailer on the ball. I have a compact backhoe, though, and this is easier for me to maneuver to the trailer hitch. However, the backhoe doesn’t have a tow-ball, but it does have a welded hook on the front-loader. With this soft nylon shackle, it’s now an easy job for me to get it around the trailer hitch, then over the hook, so I can tow the boat out where the truck can take over. In order for the shackle to hold, you need to get the knot through the loop at the other end. The nylon is stiff at first, but I expect it to soften with use. There are all kinds of uses I can see for a shackle like this. It would be a handy thing to have in an off-road ATV or jeep.
