It's a clean vanilla scent. IMO it's not overpowering nor does it smell extremely artificial. I enjoy it and it's EXCELLENT for odor elimination if you allow pets in your vehicle.

This product does not have to be stored in a refrigerated area. We recommend storing it in a room temperature environment and out of direct sunlight.

Q: I misted your v car product in the interior of my brand acura rrx and now my interior is coated with tiny grease spots everywhere. disgusting! why?

Because there is real vanilla extract in it for the smell. And extract is a oily type of liquid.
