You should be able to. The lights don't use a lot of power. I would look for a cigarette plug that has a heavier wire. Not the things one. You should be good.

Q: What size wire does it come with?

I am not sure, I think the wires are copper No. 12. The LED lights use 18 watts. I mounted my lights on the top of a 15 ft. mast on my boat and they work perfectly with the 25 ft. run of 12 Ga. wires
