My home office can get pretty chilly, especially around my feet, since my desk is open at the bottom and offers no protection from drafts. This heater has made a huge difference! I even keep it in place when it's off because it helps block some of the cold air.I used to have a different space heater under my desk, but it would overheat my ankles while leaving my feet and upper legs cold. This one solves that problem completely. This handy under the desk heater, heats quietly and evenly. I ordered recently and the day after it came we had 54 degrees. I opened it, plugged it in and it warms almost immediately. Word of warning the first 3 or 4 times it does emit a strong odor. I would have consider moving it to the garage if I wasn't desperate to warm up. But since then the scent is minor and it folds and tucks away nicely

I love the idea and the actual devise. Heats space well. Not burning oxygen, so makeinh you warm in most effective way. I bought 2 of these from my family. One is used in the homeoffice in the basement by ny husband, another one my dad uses in his bedroom. Both are very happy with the heaters. It is not the prettiest thing on the house, but it keeps your feet and knees warm, and making a really comfortable climate around you. A love the portability and compact appearance while not used.The only thing - white heater holders made of very fragile plastic, so one of them was delivered broken. However it does not affect the functions and can be easily fixed with the glue.

I bought this for the office and liked it so much that I bought another for my home office. The first one I bought didn't have a smell, or if it did, it wasn't strong enough to notice. The second one has a much stronger smell, which I hope will dissipate soon. If not, I'll send it back.It heats up quickly and serves the purpose for which it was purchased. However, if the smell doesn't dissipate within a couple of days, I will send it back.

I am so glad I got this. My office is so cold in the summer with the AC and the person next to me will run a fan. This will heat up so much that I can feel the heat coming out from under my desk. I like that it won't bother anyone else.

*Product quality has changed significantly - I do NOT recommend the 2025 version* Buyer beware - the good reviews for this product are likely based on the prior version - see the attached pictures for evidence that this product has been poorly redesigned.I purchased this for the first time in January 2022. It came as pictured in the listing (plastic handles that are fitted well, bright display screen) and I have had no problems with it (smelled fine when operating from the beginning, no issues with any buttons). It was such a good product that when I needed something for a different room this year (2025) I reordered it.The new product is very different. The handles are poorly fitted metal pieces that are just jammed together - you can see the heating and insulation layers sticking out - not sure how safe it is to have metal directly in contact with all the innards. The buttons do not work reliably, the display does not turn on reliably, and when it does it is VERY dim. I am doubtful this version would last long. Also, perhaps because the layers are not sealed at the handles, the device gives off a very off putting plastic fume smell when operating.Overall, what was once a wonderful device is now unreliable, unsafe, and unattractive. I returned it.

Gave this a try as I work from home. My office is usually very cool. I do like to wear shorts so needed something to bring up comfort level. This works great, the heat is not overpowering. It's not going to heat the office, just the area below your desk which was the goal. Love the ability to set timer and adjust heat settings. Would recommend for anyone that has a cold work area to keep legs warm.

If you’re looking for full body warmth like a standees heater, that is not this. It keeps my legs warm but I still need a sweater for the top. My company doesn’t allow heaters with the heating element exposed, so this is my only option. I prefer the standard heater that pushes out heat (usually the heating elements are exposed), but, given this is my only option, it keeps me warm enough. The heat stays well contained within the confines of the panels. I only feel it on my legs. I still need to wear something on my shoulders for full body warmth.If you tend to stay on the extra cold side or you’re under a vent in an office, this might not be warm enough for you.
