Its a Ridgid Tool, nuff said.
This is everything you'd expect from a Ridgid tool. Well made and very robust. I've owned and used Ridgid Tools for years. Never been disappointed.I'd recommend this tool to anyone.

Nice upgrade from 14 volt drill
I bought this drill because my old one couldn't use 1/2" bits. This one also has a good amount of torque that has already come in handy for drilling through metal and into hardwood studs. The LED light is helpful too. The only downside to buying a Ridgid tool somewhere other than Home Depot, is that it's not eligible for the Ridgid lifetime warranty. Personally, I doubt that I would ever file a warranty claim on a sub-$100 power tool. So, no worries on that.I was nervous buying this from Amazon for a bit less than the same item at Home Depot, but the item is perfect. No regrets.

It's a good drill in the Ridgid line - but not "Sub-Compact"
Well made. A bit heavy buy that is probably good. Well balanced with my existing batteries. Compared to other subcompacts, this one is only little smaller than standards. Good value.

RIDGID 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Sub Compact
This was a great purchase. It was a replacement for a Black and Decker and is just as light and mobile. It works with my existing Ridgid batteries.

Extremely disappointed!
I purchased this drill believing it would be the same quality as the box stores. When I went to register the drill with Rigid, they would not give me the lifetime warranty because I purchased it through Amazon. I returned the product to Amazon and I was charged a restocking fee and shipping!

Powerful little beast
I used this super small drill for tapping maple trees this spring. It was absolutely perfect! I have 4.0 ah batteries that I used to power it, and I was able to tap 1,400 trees with a 19/64" bit, 1.5" deep on one battery charge. This drill is light, fits well in the hand, and is balanced so it reduces fatigue. I will be adding more of these to my shop. The torque is amazing for such a small drill!

Total Failur
I had this same model for a long time, but when it broke I bought this one. A month after getting it, it suddenly and completely stopped working....dead. I tried different batteries etc. with no results. I contacted the seller for some help (ideas) and got no response.
