I’ve tried my fair share of pomades over the years, but REUZEL Concrete Hold Matte Pomade has truly stood out. Recommended to me by my stylist, I’ve been using it for a while now, and I must say, it feels and smells absolutely amazing.First off, the scent is fresh and clean without being overpowering, which is a huge plus for me. When it comes to the product’s performance, it does exactly what it promises. I have coarse, thick Asian hair, which can be tricky to style, but this pomade holds it in place all day long without the need for constant touch-ups. The hold is firm but not too stiff, so my hair doesn’t feel crunchy or unnatural. It gives my hair a matte finish, which I love, because it doesn’t look greasy or shiny, just natural and textured.What really impresses me is that it doesn't leave white flakes in my hair like some other pomades I've tried. That’s always been an issue with other products I’ve used, but with REUZEL, I don’t have to worry about residue or flakes throughout the day. Best hair palmade ever. I have oily hair to begin with and this product does not make my hair greasy. It also holds like a champ. Also smells good!

This has been my favorite pomade for a while. I have thicker and curlier hair. It doesn’t take too much work to getting going into the hair and it has a great hold. The scent is minimal which I like and doesn’t have a bunch of shine. Overall it is great quality and works well.

Did Reuzel change the formula for this product? I recently ordered a new tin and the color and consistency is completely different, and doesn’t work as well. Previously, it was a waxy, yellow pomade, the one I just received has a white, creamy texture, more like a paste. Wondering if it’s changed or if this one is a mistake (the tin says “concrete hold matte pomade” just as before.

I truly think that if I were to have been sent a fresh tin, it would have been perfect for my needs. Upon opening the product had shrunken and hardened a bit. I also think the name is a little confusing. There is some debate whether the concrete, or extreme pomade has a stronger hold. I saw on the pomade chart the company has available, that the extreme pomade does have a stronger hold. The tin was in good shape upon opening it up, but the lid seemed a little loose from the start. The scent was very nice, sort of fresh and vanilla esque, so no problems there.
