I bought the is with the intent of using it as a stencil but needed transfer tape and this works so much better than any transfer tape I’ve ever used before. Definitely will be buying again.

Easy to use stencil
I used this vinyl with my Cricut Maker to stencil a couple pieces of furniture. The vinyl cut seamlessly and was easily transfered with transfer tape. I used two light coats of paint over stain and had no issues with bleeding. I will definitely purchase more in the future.Updated to add that I much prefer this over the cricut brand stencil vinyl. This vinyl has much better adhesion.

A little inconsistent!
So let me start by saying I love this vinyl.. for the most part. My only complaint is it’s a little inconsistent. I have bought multiple rolls. The stickiness varies. For the most part it was perfect. I used this to do stencils when painting a hockey helmet and the first roll they all stuck down perfectly and was easily removed. Then used the second roll. It stuck down nice, but when I tried to remove it the problems started. It stuck a little too well. Was difficult to remove and paint was sticking to it. I had to literally stick it to my shirt a few times and dull down the adhesive and then it worked perfectly. It was the only roll I had that issue with. Other than that, the only issues I ran into was the cutting process. I used this to do small letter stencils on a metal license plate. I cut it with my cricut. Some of the smaller details did not cut well or fell out, also there was a lot of lifting during the cutting process. The vinyl would bubble up around the cut lines. After having to recut a couple times, I made sure to stay vigilante and would just gently press down any air bubbles so it cut correctly and smooth. While it does take a little finessing overall this is a great product just takes a little patience.

Sticks well
I use oramask on a regular basis for carving with my CNC. It’s easy to cut and sticks well onto wood surfaces. My router can cut through it and doesn’t pull it up during the process. Really good at protecting surfaces from overspray or over staining.

Do you expect crisp lines when using stencil vinyls? LOOK ELSEWHERE
When I purchased the Oracal Oramask 813 Stencil Vinyl in October 2018- there were fairly good reviews- which is obviously why I made the purchase. I was planning to use it as a stencil to trace onto wooden plaques, as a stencil for painting, and as a stencil and protectant for chemical glass etching (using Armor Etch). When I first used it (as a complete novice Cricut Explore Air 2 user), I thought I had done something wrong when I ended up rolling it out to see nothing but air bubbles between the stencil vinyl and its liner. But I used it anyways- because I paid for it, and it would be a waste not to use it.Mistake.I tried to use it on a glass mason jar mug for an etching project. Care to guess what happened? Armor Etch seeped underneath some areas that became loose (where the air bubbles were- even though I applied pressure and ensured no bubbles were present on the application). My mug was ruined. Same routine, 5 separate occasions, same outcome.I’ve since been using permanent vinyl for my etched glass projects.Fast forward to now- I decided, since I have nearly all of the roll still, to use it for my paint projects. And... what do you know? Air bubbles between the vinyl and liner again when I VERY CAREFULLY unroll it.When using my Cricut EA2, no matter what pressure I choose, no matter how big or small the cuts are, the vinyl will always peel up and get displaced all over the mat.I have also attempted to cut the vinyl with craft knives (Exacto-knife), razors (box cutter), scissors. I always end up with unusable material.Very upset with the product, and although it was affordable, I still feel the value and production is horrendously poor.

Bubble
This product bubbles way too much while cutting or unrolling. I would not recommend it.
