Use Elmer’s glue and food coloring will work best for sun catchers. The stick tempers is wayyyy to thick.

Can you use these with kids to paint suncatchers?

These paints will work on other materials, like yarn. But they will work best on paper. They dry quickly and have vibrant colors.

Would these be appropriate for a mixed age level class of children 2 1/2 years to 5 years old?

Maybe not as young as 2 1/2. They are similar in texture & consistency as a glue stick. The harder a child pushes the more the stix smooshes. Most young children push hard without knowing.
