This is the best value catcher's glove I've found. My son is 12 (playing 13u) and has caught 50 - 75 games per year for the past few years. This is the third glove we have purchased and he absolutely loves it. He was using a Rawlings Heart of the Hide prior to this and it was a very high quality glove but it was really heavy and the pocket was tiny. This glove is made of quality leather but it incredibly light weight. It took about two days of break in for it to be game ready. At the price I can't imagine finding a better glove. I'm sure this won't last as long as a Heart of the Hide, A2K, or A2000 but my son likes the feel of it much more and it is 1/3 of the price of those gloves. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable, quality glove for a player under 16 years old. I think you might want something a bit thicker if you're catching 85+ mph.

SSK is as good as you can get for the money. They make a very nice glove with quality leather and a good mitt construction.

Feels great out of the box, breaks in quickly and becomes too spacious for a regular hand, have to use a batting glove while using. Great price.I would say the pocket is not fantastic for catchers. you have to nail your catch every time to cleanly secure the ball. Too many routine drops with this glove from the catchers on my 15u baseball team.

Great quality for a great price.

Purchased for son’s equipment bag for coaching his son’s team. Very well made, and quite striking in the tan and black. Not the usual run of the mill equipment.
