Good fit.

Wanted to share the importance of making sure your child has the best protective equipment when playing sports. Keeping them safe is the number one priority.We picked this chin guard up at the start of the tournament at the advice of our coaches. My son has been playing baseball for 4 years and hasn’t worn a chin guard on his helmet. However, this tournament (kid pitch) was against some amazing kiddos that can really bring the heat on the pitchers mound. Our kids are taught to protect themselves at the plate by turning into a pitch to avoid an errant pitch but things can happen in a flash of a fast ball.He took a fast ball to the face and thank god he had that chin guard that took the brunt of it. Left with a swollen cheek but no broken jaw or missing teeth!I am so grateful we got this product and encourage all parents and players to do the same. I can honestly attest this product saved us from a scary injury. He was shook but was able to keep playing and still loves the game!!This product is super simple to install and holds its integrity even after getting whacked by a fast ball. Don’t take any risks, if your kiddos helmet doesn’t have a chin guard, install this one asap!!

Works perfectly and good quality!

I am writing this to save someone else the embarrased confusion I faced when trying to attach this guard to my grandson's helmet. Nowhere online are there clear instructions. The included instructions are incomplete.It took a couple of calls to the company to resolve. Only on the second call did the fellow figure it out.My grandson's helmet had a chinstrap. There was a snap screwed onto each side of the helmet to attach it.When I finally was told to unscrew one of those snaps and screw the guard into the now-unused hole, it attached fine.So, unscrew the snap on one side, use the two holes that now line up correctly, screw them in and...play ball!One star removed because of inadequate instructions. The guard works fine.

Looks and works as it should.

Sturdy and easy to install. It stopped a pitch from hitting my son's chin in one of his first games after getting it. It thankfully worked great.

Update: I think I figured out how to make this fit the junior helmet. There is a snap for a chin strap. If that is removed, I think the extension will line up with that hole. I just reordered this product to try it and will update if it works.Original review:The packaging says this fits the junior and senior version of the helmet. But the screw holes on the extension are not in the correct position to attach to the junior helmet. I am returning this product, hoping to find one that fits the junior helmet.

I purchased this face guard to attach to my sons compatible helmet which is made for it. It fits perfectly, matches his helmet, and looks good. I was worried that it might affect him seeing the ball coming at him, but he said that it does not interfere or anything like that. I like the fact that it gives my son that extra face and cheek protection in case a ball is zipping towards his head and he's not able to get out of the way. Luckily, we haven't had to test it yet, but it's there as extra insurance just in case. I am happy with this purchase.
