This post was pretty misleading in its labeling "mini - case of 1 - 10," so I was glad that the other reviewers were correct and it turned out to be the 10lb bucket of nooch I was looking for. My family orders one of these once or twice a year, and we adore it for the affordability and flavor.

DUSTY, DUSTY, DUSTYThis very fine powder is VERY DUSTY -- a floating cloud-like dust.Sprinkling yeast flakes on top of a dish makes a dust cloud.Pail is designed for the opening tab to tear off all the way around.This leaves a lid that nicely snaps on, but is NOT air tight.Pail was likely NOT air tight to begin with as opening tab was not part of the snap.When first opened, there was plenty more room inside pail for more yeast.I repackaged into individual air tight jars, so was able to weigh pail both full AND empty.Pail out of box weighed 11.1 lbs, pail empty (including lid & opening tab) weighed 1.6 lbs.Thus weight of yeast = 9.5 lbs.There was a lot of dust around the outside of pail.Taste is OK, but not as good as another large flake product I've used.Is about 70% of the volume of a 10 lb large flake product, so this fine powder allows more efficient packaging.Will likely buy the large flake product next time (10 lbs in a big bag) unless Red Star offers a large flake.

The description on this does not indicate whether the nutritional yeast is granular or flakes. I was hoping it was flakes, but it is granular.

I buy Red Star nutritional yeast regularly for us and for our cat. This was a good price and nice that it came in a bucket. I like the larger flakes but it really doesn't matter, taste is the same. Well packaged.

I have been purchasing this for years now. I love the product for the taste and the health benefits. I feel like I have more energy when I add the Red Star Yeast to my food - I especially love it on Eggplant Parmesan. I really like the bucket for the re-usability vs. throwing out a bunch of plastic bags. Delivery is always prompt and intact.

This is a good price for a lot of nutritional yeast. Even though I use it every day, this will last several months.

This is the best deal for nutritional yeast I have found in 6 years! Great product, well packaged.
