The SSCP exam study guide
This is a very comprehensive guide to study for the exam. The author includes content, review section, and study questions for the main chapters. Would definitely purchase again based on what I've read thus far.

Almost unreadable
While the content in this book can serve to help you pass the exam, it is filled with so much filler that the key information is often lost. The writer rambles and overcomplicates concepts that should be easier to explain. There are much better resources out there, and I give this book a 1/10 as a resource you should purchase for your SSCP exam. Avoid Mike Wills at all costs.

Practice Test is most accurate which I found in Real SSCP test
Official study guide gives you in depth knowledge which is needed to pass the SSCP exam. I found the Practice test is most important which gives you more than enough practice that real SSCP exam feels very easy. I finished my exam within 2 hours just because I practice multiple times the same tests.

Not what I expected
This books comes with a lot of filler vs being straightforward in its context. I feeling I am wading in the water trying to determine the appropriateness and relevancy. Not very helpful yet

Bent over
Wordy words, holly cow, plenty of words, tons of vagueness on relatively simple concepts, countless logical contradictions. I don't know much about the exam yet, but for real-world application it's useless. It needs to be distilled to an essence, can be and must be twice shorter. More clarity please, unless the author has been payed on "per-word" basis.

Too far left of center
15-20 percent substance and the rest prattling examples. Plus standards bodies should make it a point to use examples that are gender agnostic so not to offend anyone. If taking the exam requires me to use this book then I guess I’ll move on.

Too much waffle
Bring the syrup because this is one big waffle. This book needs to be completely redone since waffle makes up a very large portion of it. It could probably be condensed to 500 pages or less. I don't feel it helped me much with the exam other than filling in the gaps that the official CISSP study guide didn't cover. This was a large departure in quality in comparison to the CISSP study guide. The questions at the end of each chapter are worded very poorly and it is hard to determine what they are asking; they typically argue semantics. Many of questions in the book also ask you to pick multiple answers but the exam objectives on ISC's website clearly state the exam is multiple choice. The book is not a total wash, I felt some of the networking and cryptography concepts were better summarized in this compared to the CISSP book and some of the questions are good. You may be better off getting the all in one SSCP book but, at the time of writing, that book hasn't been updated to cover the 2021 exam objectives nor can I speak to it's quality since I haven't seen it. I do not recommend this book due to the large amount of waffle nor the practice tests from total seminars as they are too easy. I do recommend the official SSCP app.
