This fixed my Cinetic Big Ball
The old COV (change over) hose had developed a number of holes, so there was very little suction on the vacuum cleaner. The new part works great and fits perfectly. I’ve used it regularly for about a month now, a d the vacuum is working like new.Installation took about an hour. Search for “Dyson UP14 COV hose” on YouTube for an instructional video. It does require a couple of torx bits. It saved a Dyson vacuum for a small investment of time and money.

Fit a Dyson UP13 perfectly
Worked perfectly-I was able to repair my Dyson UP13. The hose appears very well built and was delivered on time. This is not the easiest repair but thankfully the part fit exactly!

This hose fixed the suction back to original and worked BETTER then expected
Well this is not the easiest to install unless ur like a mechanic or mechanically inclined. I was able to change out the tube piece in about 15 minutes with minimal teardown of the vacuum. My old one was well "done" as it really was not sucking up anything. Also if I had the vacuum upright and put my hand on the wand hose the motor didn't really big down like one would expect when creating a blockage. After the tube was installed and I did wipe the area down where the lip seal contacted, I then operated the mechanism to cycle the hose and it was moving smoothly. I plugged it in and away I went vacuuming and realising the suction on tile was greatly I creased as it took much more effort to move the vacuum across just tile. Basically the suction was restored and the vacuum was able to suck itself down that much greater then before. I moved to the carpet and it was picking up fine dust like it did back in the day when I bought it 12 years ago. This was the best 16 bucks spent on my vacuum. The part was decently made with no rips or tears and the lip seal was completely attached unlike other reviews and yes I was worried but willing to toss a little to save having to spend five hundred on a new vacuum. This is a good product that was decently made and fills a gap that unfortunately dyson dropped the ball on for some stupid reason. Yes we live in a. Disposable society but things are tight and getting tighter so being able to save a functional appliance is worth it in my mind.

Great Product!
Perfect fit! Received the vacuum hose on time and was reasonably easy to replace the bad hose. Now my vacuum has full suction again!

Hire a professional (from an experienced Field Service Engineer) // Recommend preemptive replacement
Update (10/12/21): I have taken things apart my entire life, and I love a great challenge. It took me 1-hour to figure out how to get to the hose, and replace it, and then to put everything back together. There are a lot of tricky moving parts, lots of super small, TORX head screws. My update recommendation is that if you are not mechanically savvy, save yourself the hassle, and take it to a vacuum repair professional. The hose works just fine, and is nice, clear and flexible; should be good for another 5-years (highly recommended, the part, not the installation)!Summary: We have a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Vacuum (UP14/DC77), bought 12/2015. It has been working well, but one day stopped vacuum. Went through the standard troubleshooting, and didn't find any significant clogs. Happened to glance at this hose, which is located near the internal hose, and found it was completely degraded.Observations: This hose is what switches between the upright hose, and the floor, therefore it operates multiple times during a vacuum session (as compared to the other hoses, which experience far less flexing). Based on this, it isn't unexpected that this would be the first hose to fail.Recommendations: At $13, and if your Dyson is used heavily, it would be better to replace this hose sooner than later, or at least inspect it. Also consider purchasing the "COV Link Service Assembly".Pros: OEM part.Cons: None. Conclusion: At $13, rating this 5-stars.

This prevented me from having to buy a new vacuum!
My wife brought our vacuum to me and said it was broken. We looked at it and started disassembling it to further investigate the problem, we thought it was clogged. Turns out this little hose was basically just a metal spring now, we searched the part through Amazon and found this hose. We were going to buy a new vacuum if this didn't work, but it was perfect! It takes a little bit to take apart, and put back together but once it's done, it works like you just bought it! The only downfall is it sucks up all the carpet in the house 😂.
