How can i ensure ego products purchased on amazon are covered by ego’s warranty?

I have not had to make a warranty claim but when registering the product, the was not problem with an Amazon origin.

When in operation and misting, do things get damp? Would this damage paper products in the vicinity?

The mister does not wet everything around it. You will have a damp are in front of the mister only. I live in Las Vegas and I use my mister everyday . Best purchase yet.

i cant believe they didn't add a standard 120v power source, so if the 250 dollar battery dies, its just a 600 dollar decoration ?

You can buy ego batteries for a lot less. For $125 you can get a 2.5 ah battery. How long do you really need a fan running before you charge the battery

How long does 5 gallons last?

That will depend on the speed setting that you set,there are 5 different settings from low to high,i have not tried 5 gallons so honestly can't say but if you want a constant stream of water then just hook it up to your garden hose and outdoor tap,there are one or two videos on YouTube which show a guy sucking water from a bucket and which may indicate how long it would last when just taking water from a bucket type source,the YouTube channels are shop tool reviews and acme tools that I can think of,my guess is on the high setting you would go through 5 gallons quick enough but check out those YouTube videos and this will give you an indication,bear in mind the videos I mention are non biased and after watching several similar videos I decided to purchase the ego fn1800 and it's an outstanding piece of kit,hope this helps
