DON'T LISTEN TO POOR REVIEWS! AMAZING!!!!
Book ReviewWounded by Shannon Mayer (Rylee Adamson Series Book 8)OMG! That is all I need to say! That is it! YES THIS WHOLE THING SHOULD BE IN CAPS!!! CRAZY!!!Ok, back to reality. First my biggest suggestion is start the series in the beginning. You can purchase the whole series except 9 for under $15 if you purchase them together, which is what I probably should have done, but I didn’t lol. This is not a must but a request. She writes the books in a way you are able to read them without reading the others. If you have the books in kindle, (which is how I read them), you can click on old characters that are mentioned and it gives you a brief synopsis on who the characters are. I love this feature and have not come across it in any other of my readings. And I read allot!Shannon Mayer is an artist who dared to go head first into a series about the end of the world, on a paranormal scale and not have it ending with butterflies and roses. It’s deep, it’s gut wrenching and I promise you in this book, you will ball your eyes out for love. No, many don’t read because they want to cry. And if you only read this book, you may not cry like you would if you followed the whole series, but you likely will have a tear.My biggest beauty with this book is her meaning of family. There are no boundaries to what you will do for your family. The meaning of real family, not just blood, but one who has always been there for you though everything; family doesn’t mean who you are born to, it’s who loves you and sticks by through thick and thin. This pushes it in your face what real family does.Do not read this book if you cannot deal with foul language. Frankly if I was dealing with the end of the world, the last thing I would care about is my language and word choice. I have noticed others do find offense to this in some posts regarding this series. My thought on this is….the F Bomb would be used ALLOT by me if I was being chased by the father of all demons.Character development…this is where it would have been best if you read from the beginning. It’s more in depth within each book, able to pick up bits and pieces along the way.The book is about Rylee’s life as a Tracker. A Tracker is someone who has a psychic link to a lost person. She is able to find those who are lost or taken. In the series this never changes, but she ends up now being a savior to the world. The end of the world is near, Orion (the king demon) is trying to possess someone in order to come through to this plane. She has to run through all these hurdles to stop the events from taking place. She does this with her trusty family, her motley crew of people. She has dragons, werewolves, vampires, zombies, necromancers, witches, spirits, worriers, ogres and others who help her with this journey. She is the savior of lost souls, a worrier to help our world; she is Rylee Adamson….Tracker.

Shannon Mayer is becoming one of my favorite authors
Often series have gone so far off track by the eighth book in the series that I lose interest. Not once has this author strayed from the original feel of the series. I love these characters and it is not often that books or movies move me to tears, but I was crying at the end of this one.The series moves along. Orion wants Rylee dead. There are four packs of demons that are the precursor to the four demons that are akin to the four horsemen of the apocalypse. These packs are either already here or are coming very soon. Of course Rylee doesn’t get a break. The story picks up at Doran’s where all of Rylee’s allies are meeting together. Again, of course, this doesn’t go smoothly. (I say “again” and “of course” simply because Murphy’s Law applies to Rylee. If something can go wrong, it will and she is always jumping from one emergency to another). I think this is all I can say of the plot without giving away spoilers. I happen to LOVE spoilers and specifically troll the reviews hoping to find them, but people get very aggressive about them so I refrain :)We have known for a while that Liam will die. Liam has known for a while that he will die at it seems that others are starting to pick up on this as well. Everyone except Rylee. She is at a point where she feels she will break if she loses one more person close to her. That she will no longer care about the fate of the world she is fighting to save. Every time we turn around Liam is getting hurt and as a reader you hold your breath each time wondering if this is it. I have maintained throughout the entire series that if either Liam or Alex is killed I am not sure how I will feel about this series.Alex is becoming more dominant and at one point some character (perhaps Rylee) says that he will remember how to shift again soon. Alex has been my very favorite character since the beginning. Even over Rylee (which is probably against the rules). He is sweet, loyal and very funny. He doesn’t do anything that make him hard to love. There is a part in this book where Alex just being sad made me cry, that is how much I love him. I can’t even handle him being sad!I HATE waiting for the next book in a series. It is always wonderful to find an amazing series like this when it is at this stage and you can just read one book right after another. These books are wonderful and I find myself thinking about the characters long after I have stopped reading. Signs of a book addict if I think the characters in the books are my friends? For more book suggestions, visit my blog at: http://bibliobibulireviews.blogspot.com/

Be prepared
Even with foreshadowing and prophecies, Rylee gets emotionally hammered from hits harder than she has ever faced. Into the ending, this book feels like it is setting up either a falling track of dominos of the winning hand. More supernaturals, more magic and more emotions abound as the series stumble forward toward the final confrontation.

This story has me crying
I know there no safe persons in this epic tale, but the best should never die.The evil should never win.
