Comfortable grip
Comfort:I have arthritis in my hands and this helps me to trim my trees very comfortably. The only problem is I don't know how to close them when I am finished trimming and have to leave them in the open position.

Cuts easily even for my arthritic hands.
Best sheers ever. I used them so much they need sharpening. Cuts better than any and are pretty safe if used correctly. I may get another pair as a spare. Love them.

Good addition
These are a helpful addition to my garden tools. It takes a minute to get used to how these pruners clip; if the first clip doesn’t cut the entire branch, you have to press a second time, and the pruners ratchet up to finish the job. It takes more pressure than I expected to cut thicker pieces, so people with weak hands will probably have to tackle smaller branches. Still, I’m glad to have them available.

Great for older hands
Works great when used properly. The anvil works great on everything from woody saplings and branches to dry fibrous stuff like dead bamboo. The ratchet actually changes the force needed to adjust to the material. I have "old" hands that love the way they work. Other ratchets don't really do that. Just listen for the "click".

Only really useful for very large hands
I am a large woman taller than average but not super tall and my hands are not small my fingers are quite long. These trimmers do not open the blade wide enough to cut a good thick stem. They may work better for tea roses but you do have to open your grip so wide that you are almost about to drop the grips to get it on the stem. That makes your hand shaky and sloppy while cutting because you are awkwardly balancing the grips to get them around the stem. That does not make for enjoyable gardening. Now if you are a very large man (built like a football player) your hands might easily widen enough. Think Brian Shaw or Eddie Hall. Pass on this one ladies unless you are a big and tall gal with great hands. They're metal and seem decent. Just poor design for the average person. Fantastic for pro athlete types and bodybuilders that need bigger stuff. As far as quality.....I don't trust it. It's hard to say but it didn't seem to cut very well. Now that can be remedied by sharpening the blade but that is a skill I do not have. Could be great needs rework on the design and sharper blades. I loved the rings around the grip. that was useful in keeping large thorny branches away from my rose gloves as an added protection.

Great product for any garden
A great product! Pump the handle for more force, I have not found a branch it could not cut in my rose garden.

These are easy to use shears.
These shears are easy to grip and use. They are super sharp too. My father-in-law , who has arthritis in his hands, loved his.

Too wide a span for me.
Seems good. I purchased since I have small hands and thought the 'sissor' handle might be easier for me. Sadly it's not, since it opens too wide for my comfort. I'll have to pass it on to someone with a bit of a larger hand span.
