Night and Day Difference from 110v: buy this
Tried 110v welding on my Deko inverter stick unit. Horrible.Installed this 220v receptacle, and boom: my welder runs like a smooth one in those YouTube videos. Such a difference. Now I'll dig into the D1.1 and study the reason.

Installation in the wrong order can be VERY difficult
Here's what I did that makes installation much easier1. Completely remove all 4 Back screws and 2 Front cable clamp screws2. strip wires, open prong clamps, insert wires and tighten pin clamps3. Install cable clamp but barely insert the screws. This is important. If you clamp the cable down at this point it will be VERY difficult to install the back cover4. push the pins toward the inside of the cover so that they have some wiggle room. You need to be able to wiggle the pins around in order to line up the brass ends to fit into the plastic holes of the back cover. once you get all the pins aligned to the holes you can push the two body shells together4. tighten the 4 front screws and then the 2 cable clamp screws.The back cover alignment holes keep the pins sturdy. This seems to be a sturdy connector and the price was good.
