Excellent gas detection for the price
Excellent gas sniffer for the money. Detected a known gas leak, detected by my $250 professional gas leak detector in the same exact spot. It’s a bit slower to clear once it has detected gas but for literally more than a tenth of the price of the pro tool I can’t complain. It’s easily worth the money and peace of mind to have it around. It being pen sized js great for field work as well, makes jobs quicker and more efficient.

Inexpensive and effective!
What a great tool! Had a tiny gas leak that I could not locate with the spray soap method. You would think the gas would accumulate over time but it never got strong to cause much concern that there was a real issue (but of course there was). Gave up trying and bought this tool. Took all of 5 minutes to locate the issue on the main pipe fitting coming into the house. Very happy I got this tool and would recommend it to everyone who suspects and leaks.

Works well and easy to use
Works well excellent tool especially for the price. Located a gas leak in my home verified by a plumber with a better tester. I would definitely recommend this.

Frankly, more sensitive than soap bubbles.
I've had a few of these over the years. They are cheap enough so that I have two usually. I don't bother with soap bubble testing anymore. These are more sensitive, FASTER, and more accurate. I wouldn't do gas work without one of these. Flare fittings are great, BUT they can often leak a little if not perfect. These make sure you don't smell that small leak of gas.

Thankful
We had a gas leak in my house coming from the furnace. This product detected the leak and we immediately turned off all gas and contacted services. Worked as intended and thankfully it did.
