this is probably a good choice. Our ML350 has this arrangement
I have purchased several models and styles of this type product in an attempt to find ONE suitable product. This is the only one to have survived so far, not to be destroyed either through use or temper. I started with the vent-clip-on models. They all eventually found their way to the landfill. Not all cars have a free cup-holder in such a place as to be appropriate for this particular unit. If at least one cup holder is available in a spot between the seats and is at a relatively low and forward position, this is probably a good choice. Our ML350 has this arrangement.PROsThe base expands nicely to accommodate even large cup holders. But one of the best features is the phone clamp itself. I use a phone with an extended battery, meaning the phone is twice as thick as most. This clamp just makes it - which many of the other ones I have tried did not do. Just place the phone in the holder and gently squeeze the sides in, which you can do with one hand after you get used to it. There is plenty of room between the bottom 2 fingers for the power cord. Furthermore, the release mechanism is soft. When the release button is pressed it does not SNAP open like the cheap ones, instead it gently opens in such a way as to give me an expectation this thing might last a while longer.CONsOne the CON side - the device is made of plastic and the extension is tall. Although it properly positions the phone for easy viewing, it is tall enough to flex around a bit. This should be expected to a point - it is plastic after all, but I can still follow the GPS screen while in motion. The clamp securely holds the base in place so within the limit of the strength of plastic, you can use the phone in place.Personally I prefer to have the phone up at the vent level for easier viewing on the road, but this is the next best thing as the vent clamp/holders have all been EXTREMELY disappointing. This is a far more secure phone holder IF the inside of your car is arranged to make good use of it.

Works great in the car
Spouse purchased one for his car. Considering he is not a tech oriented person and he liked his, thought I would give it a try. Love mine. Easy to install. My phone fits well in it's case (Galaxy S23). Settling it in the cup holder is easy enough. I note it does seem to loosen on it's on. Note, for obvious reasons, it is top heavy, so check it frequently to make sure it is secure

Works great, sturdy, could use a little more adjustability
I was a little concerned about the sturdiness but it worked great. placed in the rear cup holder for back seat passengers during along road trip. It fit my wife's big iPad Pro perfectly. the adjustable cup holder mount allows you to tighten it down for a secure fit. My only complaint is that you can only pivot the arm at one point. so u can stilll adjust it, but maybe can't get the perfect angle.

Sturdy, solid, safe
For the price, it's easy to be a little apprehensive. What intrigued me about this model versus other similar products was the cup holder feature. There are a handful of golf courses in my area that don't have a convenient place to attach most phone or tablet holders. I have to say, I love this thing. It's so sturdy even on the bumpiest course rides. After the first two holes, I stopped paying attention to it, waiting for it to topple over.Pros -Like I said, it's very sturdyThe tablet arms are easy enough to adjust, but not so loose that it doesn't feel secureIt folds down small enough that it fits into most golf bag side pockets. I always leave it in my bagCons -It's really one additional joint away from being perfect. I will commonly find myself trying to awkwardly readjust the tablet so it's useable from the cart.Overall, I really would recommend this to anyone who wants a small, secure device that packs a bang for its punch.

Don't use with 2011 to 2017 Leaf. For iPhones w/headphone jack, tine/prong blocking jack is not that bad an issue.
Works ok but do NOT get this for a 2011 to 2017 Leaf, which is where I originally intended to use it. The arm (neck) is too long and the holder will basically bump up and rub against the black plastic of the center stack. On the SV and SL trims, it's shiny piano black plastic and will thus mar it. Cup holder and HVAC stack positions are the same for 2011 to 2017 Leaf.It might work better in a 2018 as the cup holders were moved MUCH further back and away from the HVAC stack.I ended up using it on my 2006 Prius, which I hardly drive. However, I semi-agree with the "top critical review" which said"Unfortunately it has one major flaw for iPhone 6 users, The mount (Two prongs that hold the phone) is directly over the headphone port, My car stereo has no Bluetooth capabilities, So it renders this mount useless basically..." It's not totally useless.I also was using an iPhone 6 and my 06 Prius has no Bluetooth A2DP music streaming (A2DP standard wasn't done yet) so I was using the headphone jack. Yes, the prongs block the headphone jack and the prongs can't be moved. iPhone 6s will have the same issue. However, if you just plug in a cable into the headphone jack and close to left and right sides as much as possible (yes, the left prong will be against the aux cable's connector), it'll hold the phone ok.If you move onto phones that have no headphone jack (e.g. iPhone 7 and beyond), this becomes a non-issue as the only connector you'll have at the bottom is Lightning which is in the middle and not blocked.Attached visual aids.
