I have been using this filler for year's & it is a great product. But unfortunately this time It is either an old batch, out of date, Managed to get a small amount out of the 1st tube about the size of a garden pea but, It had gone hard was lumpy & impossible to extract from the tube. The second tube which is un opened may be ok but It came as a package of 2, so I am sending them both back. & now, it's a trip to B&Q !

It was easy to use. Slightly smaller than expected but managed to get the job done.

I bought 2 of these, thinking they would be easy to handle. They come in tubes, not a tin. Unfortunately, if Ronseal had a “does exactly what it says on the tube” strap line, the tube would have to say ‘liquid separates from the filler, which has hardened. Knead the tube ineffectually for 15 minutes until your fingers ache. Then position the tube where you want the filler to go and squeeze. The coloured liquid will then spurt and spatter. Clean this with a damp cloth. Even if you use a clamp to squeeze the tube, the hardened filler will not come out of the tube. Discard the barely used tube before realising testily you should have kept it to return for refund.’ Buying two, I had the pleasure of repeating the process. Don’t waste your money, buy the same product in the 310ml cartridge form, it’s brilliant.

Bought end July, opened sealed tube end November. Despite kneading tube found contents had separated into near solid with liquid squires. Usable just, but much prefer tubs where you can see contents and remix as required.

It comes out of the small tube easily and dries nice and hard so it is easy to sand back and finish. Also, I was able to mix it with some a neutral tube to get a closer match for my wood colour - English Oak.

Great product with the caveat that it is a bit 'thick' for the tube size. I had to resort to squeezing the tube in a woodworking vice to get any out. To be fair it is a cold workshop, and I don't have Tarzan's grip strength, but even with a vice it is reluctant to leave the tube.
