Will it work with a simple UK to US adaptor?

I bought this clock and did not need an adaptor to plug into us outlet. However, directions were so confusing I could never get it to work.

Can you confirm this comes with a U.S. power adapter?

Hi, yes it comes only with a power adapter. It is not battery operated (or battery backup) but when the power is off, it kept both the wake up time and the nap wake up times in the memory. I only had to re-set the time. One suggestion on this - hang on to the instructions. It was a little hard to program, but once it was you're good to go. It was the only clock I found that offered both the morning wakeup time and the nap wake up time!! would buy it again, but I do wish it had a batter back up when the power goes out.

Does this have a US plug?

Mine did. My wire got stripped from getting pulled and when I called the company for a replacement, they said it was only approved for use in UK. I was desperate and never had any issues so I bought a new plug and it was identical. Hope this is what you were asking!

Does the light go out completely at night or is there a constant nightlight effect?

Constant nightlight effect. You can adjust the brightness, but it doesn't turn off completely. In the normal clock mode, it does time out, but not with the timer feature for wake up.
