I never write reviews but this needs one.My 6yr old boy broke his arm at the start of the school holidays. We really thought we were not going to be able to go on holiday or to the beach but we decided to give this a go as a last resort.It is brilliant and worth every penny. He was in the pool for 1.5hrs, completely under the water, went down the slide multiple times, playing, splashing about and not one drop of water went inside. Super impressed with this and I highly recommend it.It is quite tight (but obviously needs to be) and left a red ring around his arm (they recommend removing it after 45 mins though) but there was no way he was getting out of the pool and the mark soon went away once it was off.He is 6 but in 7yr old clothes and we bought a size small. There is plenty of room in length but it fitted snuggly around his arm to keep his cast dry. Fabulous, thank you for saving our holiday and keeping a little boy happy.

I rarely review anything on Amazon but having gone through the despair of thinking our holiday would be ruined I thought I'd mention this for other parents in the same boat. This is a brilliant little bit of kit that has successfully kept our 4 year old's arm cast completely dry for the last 4 weeks, even submerged in the pool on holiday and kept the sand clear on the beach.As others have noted, it's a bit of a nightmare getting it on at first until you get used to it. The trick is to roll it up like a sock, get them to stick their arm in, then unroll it back up their arm. Unroll it higher than it's needed, then pull it back down until the seal at the top is completely flat. Don't allow any small rolls or edges to be tucked under. For good measure I also then pull enough away to get my mouth over and suck as much as the air out as my lungs will allow and let it fall back in to place then neaten it up the seal again. This creates a vacuum suction seal that keeps it in place and makes it hard for it to be pulled about and allow the seal to be broken. It looks like a little blue vacuum packed chicken leg. :o)Be sure to take it off at least every hour and give it a breather as condensation can build up inside!We wouldn't allow him to jump in to the pool but it probably would have handled it.I'll now join all the other cliched comments and say this saved our holiday! Well worth the price (even though it probably only costs pennies to make!).

Bought for 12 year old grandsonto cover cast for broken wrist and it saved his holiday as he was onable to go in pool and sea. It was watertight until it split on last day but was worth buying

My 5 year old boy broke his arm 6 days before our summer holiday, we were terrified he would be left out of all the fun with the swimming pool and water slides.We completed the measurements of his cast up over elbow and his arm diameter and ordered one cover to trial in the shower before we left. It worked perfectly in the shower and we found it easy to fit when following the instructions.We ordered a second as a back up then for our holiday.Our hotel had a swimming pool, splash pool with slides and larger slides for older kids however with this cover our little boy missed out on none of these activities, he was able to go on all the slides etc and only 1 day of the 7 did a tiny bit of water get into the top of the seal and dampen the top of the cast, it caused no long term issue, he was also able to spend days on the beach and in the sea. This product really was a holiday saver for our family as our kid did not miss out on any play with his older brother and cousins. We had it on probably 3-5 hours at a time.I would say looking at the product alone it is slightly overpriced but what it allowed our kid to enjoy on holidays was priceless.Must buy for those unfortunate enough to be in the same circumstances as ourselves

Who knew there was a whole section on Amazon dedicated to people that break a limb before a holiday?! My daughter broke her arm and was put in a cast, days before a 3-week trip to Australia. I quickly bought this before we flew out. She wore this most days, was perfect for the beach (sand) and swimming. It was a bit too long for her, but didn’t seem to bother her. What a genius idea! Thank you!!

This was a brilliant purchase that saved our family holiday. My son who is 8 years old broke his arm one week before we flew off to France and he got a cast from his hand up past his elbow. I was in full panic stations thinking the holiday was ruined as he wouldn't be able to go to the sea or swim in the pool. With this cast cover on, his cast stayed completely dry and he was able to forget about his arm and enjoy the holiday as normal. Even when his arm was immersed in water for long periods no damp got in. The only thing you need to watch is if your child is repeatedly rubbing it on a rough surface it can wear it down after a while. The swimming pool we used had concrete tiles around one side which he was always leaning on getting in and out of the water. Towards the end of the second week there was a little bit of damp on the cast and I realised there were 2 little pin sized holes had formed from rubbing the cast on these tiles. I bought a bicycle puncture repair kit to fix these and it was good as new again. Couldn't recommend this product enough. I also bought a Limbo cast cover just so we had 2 options but it wasn't much use. You can't immerse it in water and it was far too big and cumbersome even though we had the correct size/age for him

This was beyond perfect, we got a size medium and it fit my 8 year old perfectly, it could fit a 9 year old as well, or a small build 10 year old. My son spent endless hours in the pool and the sea playing with sand and rocks and there was no leakage, no cuts, no issues what so ever. It didnt cause my son any discomfort and didnt leave a mark on his arm even after wearing it for hours. His arm was not hot inside and his arm didnt sweat much at all while wearing it, and no condensate was formed inside of it. This absolutely saved our summer vacation.
